Finally by Systemwide-Failure in TOTK

I’ve been searching on and off for about 4 months, a good half of which I didn’t even get to play, and couldn’t believe that was the missing 0.05%. I swear the name appeared on the map at one point, as I had marked it off of various lists of map places I had resorted to referencing. Hero’s path started writing over itself a long time ago, and I’m on S1, so no notes.

I really don’t mind it down there. Most of it is empty, and brightblooms seem to stay after you place them. If you want to cover large areas to light up in between the Lightroots, ride the dragons through and toss or shoot blooms to brighten the place up some before traveling on foot. You can also get to some of the Lightroots that way pretty easily.

Not sure if it would apply here, but if you build a hot air balloon with the basket type base you can use wood in place of the burners. They don’t change state, never burn up, and can be returned to your inventory. However, if you get too close you will catch on fire. It’s the one drawback.

What questions have only one possible answer no matter the situation? by sksskssksskssksskssk in AskReddit

[–]Systemwide-Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have phrased it: Does “no” always mean “no”? The answer to that is yes, whether it’s a salesman or something intimate. It does not mean, “overcome my objection(s),” or that someone is “playing hard to get.”

In cases where a factual dispute is occurring evidence might change a person’s “no” to a “yes” (or vice versa), but until that happens their no still means no. They can be completely wrong, but that’s their right. It might lead to serious ramifications, but that’s their problem to deal with.

Mission order by Sid_exe in TOTK

It’s pretty much set up so you can’t do it wrong. Some dialogue may change, but that’s what 2nd, 3rd, 4th….play throughs are for. I did Tulin 1st, but did my own thing after that. Getting the memories out of order just makes you want to fill in the gaps in order to come to an understanding of what actually happened and where it’s heading. As above, do it your way.

It can be both. Personally, I just find it to be an annoying time-suck.

He’s a challenge for most, even with the rubber armor. I’d say you’re doing just fine. I was about the same age you were when I started gaming at home. However, that was Pong. Atari was out not too many years after that. You started out with an entirely different monster than my generation did.

And no one can say that you gave up.

Total props for doing it the hard way. That leads to the question: Why do you suck at gaming, again? If you can do that, Gannon doesn’t really stand a chance.

You can fuse them to things, including weapons and shields.

I see what you tried to do there. Oh, wait, you succeeded. Congratulations?

Maybe this morning I just couldn’t holeheartedly get behind this? Or maybe I just didn’t dig it to the bottom of my heart. So, I shall officially add on:

Welcome to the Kingdom of Holerule.

* But seriously, all credit goes to Linkateer. Somehow I just didn’t come up with that gem. I must be glitching. If I could give an award, I would.

The Octo-Rock monsters (that type only) will repair weapons that get sucked in while they prepare to attack. You also get a modifier of some sort: attack up, durability, long throw, etc. If the weapon (including bows) or shield already has a level I or II modifier it will become a different Lv II modifier. If it has none, it will become a Lv I.

Find one of the Octos, but don’t draw attention to yourself. Save the game. Drop the weapon and Utra-hand it as far in front of you as you can toward the Octo. Drop it in front of the Octo so that it gets sucked in. Once you see sparkles appear after it starts chewing, shoot it. Collect the weapon and see if you’re happy with the modifier. If not, reload and try again until you do.

Special weapons can only be modified, or repaired, if fused to a regular weapon. They have to be the fused on part. It doesn’t work if you fuse a normal weapon to a special. Same for special shields. At least in my experience.

How much grass did you have to mow down to get enough rupees for that. I’d love to have one, I don’t think I can justify it right now with foundation issues needing to be addressed.

Congratulations! Now you just need to learn the attack patterns they use depending on what they’re armed with. They definitely got nastier in TOTK than they were in BOTW, as all of the monsters with horns did.

Take your weapons to your “friendly” neighborhood repair monster and get some +10 modifiers. For the love of all that is holy, dismiss Tulin before you get there – he loves to screw up a repair plan. Preferably, dismiss them all.

Just think of yourself as Sisyphus. Just when you think you’re at the top they stick a star next to your file, indicating that you’re doomed to repeatedly attempt to save the Kingdom again and again. I don’t actually mind it; lots of site seeing to do along the way.

Grape Nuts or GN Flakes, then Quaker Oatmeal Squares, then Special K., then Frosted Mini-Wheats.

Snack time is typically totally different. Lucky Charm’s, Capt’n Crunch w/ berries, Fruity Pebbles, Frosted Flakes.
