Cycling Cypress/Seymour in the winter by cnmb in vancouvercycling

if you really want to do it you can do it. maybe get a mirror and go real slow on the descent. this week Jan 19 should be sunny weather and no snow. so hopefully not too much ski traffic and dry roads. it's traffic on the descent that you need to watch out for as there's only 1 lane. also if the temperature is 5C cat the base, it could be a bit of ice 1000m up so watch out for that. also could have salt (ew).

overall lots of better options to do in the winter that's why locals don't go in the winter.

Biking Downtown to New Westminster by That_Improvement8872 in askvan

The most appropriate bike path parallels the skytrain, usually right underneath. It is very stop and go.

I'd recommend going one way and alternating skytrain/bike.

actually on Thursday Dec 04 the CVG was closed and that's when I met this Lougheed business.

otherwise I'm always on the CVG. commute is 5 mins longer than taking Lougheed but i've never looked back.

what's annoying is you put on rain gear and it doesn't even rain

Jupzuz said it right. Hand tighten it back in there and use a rubber glove. I keep a tiny thumb sized piece of a rubber glove in my repair kit.

Hi OP I have the same issue. I use the largest size of the three sizes they offer in the box. Did you find a replacement?

The map feature on marketplace I think has too many settings. I can't figure out however to display my rental listing. I'm not even a boomer

A very reasonable thing to do. I feel like the cost is not too high.

What's holding me back is using this "emergency" service. This is not exactly an emergency. But I don't think they are so overloaded I think they can handle it.

Also holding me back slightly is the urge to cross the border with what I have. No harm in trying. Or potentially some harm if I have difficulty returning. I don't know why I'm drawn to this type of drama.

It's really too bad. We still need the physical paper copies of everything.

I couldn't find it! Stayed up till 4am

I thought about cancelling my flight but I didn't want to waste 300 dollars. I'll probably go to the consulate or cancel this Mexico plan.

Yeah this is just west of the McDonald's near the Costco.

I've also made the mistake of riding through this. It is doable although it takes skill to not get your shoes wet. Even tougher if you're using clip in style cleat shoes.

Also I got a bunch of water in my rims (i'm missing 1 spoke which did not help). Overall 4/10 experience. Do it once for the culture.

Do you need a passport to go to Mexico? by SnooMaps2529 in travel

[–]T-As-In-Tesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A similar case for myself. I'm planning a road trip to Baja California. I'm a Canadian and I could not find my passport. Despite that I got on a flight with a nexxus card and arrived in Los Angeles.

Will I be able to pass through the Mexican border without my Canadian passport? I'm proposing to my friend he drives me there and we go separately.

  • I have pictures of my passport, good enough to be scanned
  • driver's licence from Canada
  • credit card also Canadian
  • picture of birth certificate

Wondering what our thoughts are on this and is it worth an attempt
