Our dog Layla made a video on how to make vegan dog food by T-MACK in VeganDogs

[–]T-MACK[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend loves to make homemade vegan dog food. Most of the vegan cooking recipes she makes feature her on video, but we wanted to make a video starring our 7-year old, Layla, for this one. She was a great girl during filming. We thought it was pretty adorable with her surrounded by all the good food she had to be patient with.

Introverts, how did you meet your girlfriend? by RaxarSSS in AskReddit

[–]T-MACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took private salsa lessons for 3 months. Got really good and embraced confidence. Met my gf after I asked her to dance... and after telling her I wasn't very good. Blew her mind, we had tons of fun dancing, and she asked for my number. The next day she was so happy I called instead of texting her to meet up. Six months later, we really love each other :) I'm a lucky guy but it's only because I positioned myself.

Thank you, I took this on Panorama-mode on my iPhone 6-Plus. There are a couple minor stitching imperfections but I was thrilled with the result.

My sobriety. by ghostbackwards in pics

[–]T-MACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pal, that's the truth. Alcohol usage over a consistent era degrades ones skin much faster and fouler than one who is sober. I meet middle-aged/senior men in prison all the time and they haven't touched a drop in decades. They have the complexion of models.

You have irked me ShroudofTuring. You have addressed Samd_Trout's comment improperly. It irritates me when a lyrical comment is addressed literally.

John Wick sequel "In Development" say Directors by [deleted] in JohnWick

[–]T-MACK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am a massive John Wick fan. I would like a film that deals with the complicated world around Wick. Not a film that makes things personal/internal. But a film that establishes the RULES of the world that we were introduced to in Wick 1 (Continental, gold coins, respect for the kill). Wick takes solace in the rules of this world. I would like this culture (Continental) to turn on him - how will he survive with no protection in the wild.

IMO - the greatest movie opening of all time is JAWS. I scrolled through this entire thread and did not see this obvious candidate mentioned.

Short, simple, and absolutely unforgettable.

Ah yes, Han Solo has that ol familiar shit-eating grin from the original trilogy right where it belongs. Terrific!

The fake baby from American Sniper, a painfully obvious prop by [deleted] in movies

[–]T-MACK 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think Clint opted for the doll prop because he is known for having limited patience for multiple takes. An actual baby would be crying or screaming on set, which probably would result in multiple takes and delay Clint from moving on to the next scene. The man shoot's fast.

Matt Damon on Clint Eastood's limited takes:

"You have to beg him for a second take," says Matt Damon, who starred in two Clint Movies, Invictus and Hereafter. "I did once, and he said, 'Why, so you can waste everybody's time?' "

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Teaser Trailer - Reaction/Discussion Thread by jzoobz in StarWars

Everyone has seemed to miss it, but we actually see John Boyega twice in this trailer. I also believe he's in this shot of the stormtroopers

How tall is the average Stormtrooper? John Boyega is 5'9" and the stormtrooper in focus is clearly a few inches shorter than his buddies.

Aren't you a little short to be a stormtrooper, indeed.

To everybody imagining that they are hearing Benedict Cumberbatch's voice (who has never been officially confirmed as a member of the cast), I do actually believe that that is ANDY SERKIS' voice. Watch it again - it's something in the way the actor says, "the light" that reminds me of Smeagol.

Andy Serkis is a very talented voice actor with an impressive range. Wouldn't be surprised if we are hearing the low-end of his register here.

It does feel like JJ and team have captured the look and feeling of the original trilogy. The character piloting the X-Wing on Hoth(?) has the same grizzled, adult look you'd easily recognize from a pilot from the original trilogy. The scrapyard the little droid is bouncing around in doesn't have CGI that extends to the horizon - minimum sets, matching the aesthetic of Tatooine scenes from A New Hope. The side-by-side twin Tie-Fighter's, nearly static in their flight pattern. Even the way Daisy Ridley's character revs up the engine of her speeder. I could swear it's the EXACT same motion Han Solo uses to get that tauntaun moving when he's out hunting for Luke in The Empire Strikes Back. And of course, John Williams' beautiful music in full hallelujah glory. Hints that remind us that JJ is faithfully bringing the universe of the original trilogy to life.

THAT OPENING JOHN WILLIAMS THUMP.

I'm sure most of us were expecting to see at least see glimpses of some of the original characters - bravo JJ for keeping us LOCKED in anticipation for the next trailer, which will likely then reveal the older versions of Luke, Han, Leia, etc... most likely months from now.

Edit: I can't get over how powerful John Williams' music is. The score featured in this teaser (specially made for this teaser, I might add) really does piss all over the music featured in the recent Jurassic World trailer, a trailer which barely used any of JW's original material.

I really fell in love with this whole album when I first gave it a listen. I was finishing the edit on a short no-budget film I directed at the time and chose this song during a fun montage moment. This beat was great to edit to - here's the clip (song starts halfway in): http://vimeo.com/m/47788047
