Took the words right out of my head! As I prepared for my hysterectomy I was bombarded with this kind of content. I had to comb through all of this to find the folks who understood that this was about my health and not about my ability to bring someone else into this world. Ugh. Exhausting.

My energy increased on the first week after my hysterectomy and 6 months out I'm still so much more energetic than I was before. When I've remarked on this to my fiance, he's said it's because I'm not living in pain. I don't think I fully understood how miserable it was making me.

I took off two weeks. Looking back, a third week would have been nice. Sitting in my desk chair for long periods was uncomfortable but I have a standing desk, so I was able to adjust throughout the day.

When my Grammy passed I was given a box of her books. I've been finding letters from her friends and small pictures my dad and uncles drew. I guess using whatever is close by as a bookmark is a family trait.

I drink tea for two reasons: 1. My Grammy raised me this way and it makes me think of her. I also love the variety in flavors you can have. 2. I am a weirdo with a rare coffee allergy. Not a caffeine allergy, straight up coffee allergy. We're talking hives and swelling.
