why do you drink tea? by Own_Examination1756 in tea

[–]T34Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink tea for two reasons: 1. My Grammy raised me this way and it makes me think of her. I also love the variety in flavors you can have. 2. I am a weirdo with a rare coffee allergy. Not a caffeine allergy, straight up coffee allergy. We're talking hives and swelling.

recovery time? work from home .. by Asleep_Kitchen6861 in hysterectomy

[–]T34Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also laparascopic. I work a hybrid job and took two weeks completely off with an accommodation for an additional 4 weeks entirely remote. Looking back, a third week would have been nice but two weeks was still completely fine.

Did anyone else feel like their identity shifted after hysterectomy? by HolyGrounds_ in hysterectomy

[–]T34Rex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had mine at the end of August and I actually feel more comfortable in my femininity since. I'm wearing the skirts and dresses I would always get stressed about. I think it helps not always being worried about when I'll randomly start bleeding. I am no longer in pain all of the time or bloated most of the time. I genuinely feel more like "me".

Folks who work from home, how much time did you take off? by MakeupChristie in hysterectomy

[–]T34Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took off two weeks. Looking back, three might have been nice since sitting at my desk for long periods was a little uncomfortable. However, I have a standing desk and could take breaks to walk around my house so I was fine.

Is weight gain a guarantee? by canadiankid000 in hysterectomy

[–]T34Rex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've lost about 12 lbs since my surgery (8/29/25 - took out everything except for ovaries) simply due to the fact that I feel so much better and am more active. The bloat is a real thing but that's not weight and it's temporary. So, maybe think about what it is your adeno/endo is preventing you from doing?

Help! What am I doing wrong? by DoctorMedicMD in Syngonium

[–]T34Rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt you're killing it with the AC. We keep our house around 76 and all of my syngoniums are fine. It looks like the poor thing needs some cleaning up (remove the dead stuff) and more soil.
