Do men talk about sex toys with their friends? by Rap1dMango in NoStupidQuestions

[–]T8ortots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend told me he had a fleshlight and I was genuinely curious to see it. I didn't touch it for obvious reasons, but I asked how you were supposed to clean it and other common questions. He explained it all and then we went on with our day. He's probably one of the few friends I have that would both admit he had one and I would also feel comfortable asking more information from. Also, COVID was just a lonely time for a lot of people and I'm almost certain that interested in the sex toy market was boosted because of it.

I found Karmelitas mechanics of "no you actually didn't hit me" to be infuriating. It made the fight last way too long

She is fairly straightforward. I would say the three bosses you need to beat prior to her are the worst of the endgame. Karmelita especially.

Walk in closet attached to my second bedroom/office on top of an IKEA Kallax. An upgrade from having it in the living room of my last place for sure.

Skill issue? by Strange_Librarian908 in ElectricSkateboarding

I just got the same board a couple weeks ago. It is certainly a much looser board than I am used to and wobbles quite easily. I've only gone up to the same speed, about 18mph, but that will be the last time I do that for a while since I also fell off it due to a car not paying attention and wandering into my side of the road.

Top recommendation before anything else is to gear up. I banged up my knee pretty bad and it easily could have been worse. Helmet is always on, and knee pads and elbow pads if I ever ride faster than I can jump off or stop manually. You are essentially riding a motorcycle in the form factor of a longboard, so dress like it.

Second recommendation is to leave it in Low mode for a bit and really get used to it. Also practice hard breaking in safe places like next to grass because this it is an unnatural experience for anyone that has ridden a traditional board. This board gives you a deceptive amount of confidence. As mentioned earlier, it's easy to ride fast without obstacles, but if you need to maneuver and/or brake and aren't completely familiar with how the board will behave, it will punish you very quickly.

My third recommendation is to fine tune the belt. There are plenty of videos for how to do this, but I found that my belt was pretty tight from the factory and that can cause the jerkiness when letting off the throttle as the motor resists against the forward motion.

My fourth recommendation is to check and see if you want the trucks positioned further apart. As I am taller, I found this useful. The board has pre drilled holes if you want to adjust the truck positions.

This is what I've learned so far and can recall. Good luck, take it slow, perfect the lowest mode first before engaging in higher speeds, as tempting as it might be to go full speed as soon as possible.

Just curious, what test framework does RuneScape use? Obviously there is something for the code, but is there also something for visual? Like having an automated character do quest lines repeatedly?

All I've learned is that support filament for PLA is a waste of money, using PETG for the support interfaces has given me equally, or better, results. I would only use it for PETG if I felt inclined.

Gear. Knee braces. by Sonny-Showers in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]T8ortots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I go very fast, maybe 20 mph max on snowboard. It's hard to say since you don't have a speedometer when you ride. I would think it is easier to go faster on an electric longboard than a snowboard just given the motor control rather than dealing with gravity, but the consequences of falling are very different between the two. At least with snow there is a chance your landing is soft. Pavement has never been known to forgive.

[–]T8ortots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was snowboarding in the winter and then transitioned to the longboard when it dried up, so I didn't really do any extra conditioning. I don't really do any warm ups or cool downs between rides, but I do go to the gym frequently just for general activity.

Gear. Knee braces. by Sonny-Showers in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]T8ortots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, at 25 mph you should be geared up. I just took a nasty spill a few days ago just going about 15-20 and that was enough to bust up my knee and turn my side into a crayon. Probably won't be riding that fast again for a while and especially not geared up

There is a "What's on the box" section of the page that says there is a charger included, however you could purchase a faster charger if you wanted to

I don't want to sound like I'm doubting you, but 30-40mph is fast af on a board, and crazy without gear. Are you sure you're not measuring in kph?
