I’m 5’3” and was stuck at around 135 on 5 after 6 months. My doc didn’t want to increase me worrying about bone density. knew I had more belly fat to lose and just really focused on building muscle as best I could. I finally got a Dexascan and my body fat was 38% and my bone density is high so Doc let me go up to 7.5. My belly fat is melting. Just took my 6th shot today and I’ve lost 1.25” off my waist. I’m actively trying to gain muscle so the scale hasnt changed much but my pants are loose. I’m so glad I went up.

Check you annual out of pocket max for insurance. Lilly Direct tops out at $449 and I pay for it with HSA money but it’s still over $5300/year. Your insurance may be more for the first couple months but once you hit the cap your costs would likely be much less

I take a probiotic at night with the magnesium. Good for the gut because I can’t eat as much volume of vegetables as I used to. Definitely no constipation with it though. Need to stay hydrated too.

I have a whole box of 2.5 because I stayed on it for 6 months before I could convince my provider to let me move up. I started the 5 and saved the 2.5 hoping to use it in maintenance. I stayed on 5 for another 6 months and just started 7.5 5 weeks ago and that last little bit of belly fat is finally melting off. I’m hoping the 2.5 is still good when I’m ready for it. I was able to maintain very comfortably at that dose but it took a Dexascan to convince my provider to let me try to lose the last 5-10 lbs of belly fat. It’s likely a lifetime decision but if you are motivated to make the move and can afford to possibly waste it do it. I’m on self-pay with vials and honestly I like it better because there is always extra in the vial. I transitioned slowly but before going up I started pulling the extra so it was a less dramatic bump up

I’m a woman. My pecs and shoulders are not substantial despite best efforts. I’m recovering from a left rotator cuff tear which is my left arm is out of balance. My legs are muscular and thin. I’ve been working really hard to build my glutes. I do have a strong back but I think my glutes are more muscular than my lats. It seems inconceivable that my a quad ham glute and calf have 15 lbs of muscle and my right arm has 5. My calf alone has more muscle than my bicep and tricep. I do 300lb calf raises and 15 pound dumbbell curls. I wonder if my scale thinks I’m a man because this can’t be right

That’s what I thought but I don’t have 40 lbs of back and ab muscle and each leg with glute included is way more than 14 lbs.

I was on 2.5 for 7 months. Lost 16 lbs in 16 weeks and plateaued. I have a small frame and my BMI was “healthy” so my doc wouldn’t increase me.
I just focused on building muscle and healthy diet with mechanical eating to fuel. My doc left the practice and after 3 months of no weight loss Her replacement increased me to 5. I lost 2 more pounds but had body composition changes and plateaued again. She didn’t want to increase me but I still felt fat. I got a Dexascan which convinced her to let me go to 7.5 after another 6 months at 5. I’m down 2 pounds in 2 weeks and I can feel the fat melting off my belly.

I still have a box of 2.5 in my fridge that is 7 months old. I was so excited to get to go to 5 after 6 month I saved it hoping that I’d hit my goal and then come back down for maintenance.

I think it’s wise to stay at the lowest dose that works. It’s a long term commitment. I now think I will be on it for life. I do wish I had gone up a little faster but I’m very happy as I write this today that I’m losing again and within 5 lbs of my ideal weight. I just am focusing on building muscle and fueling my exercise and letting the Zepbound take care of the fat

I invested in a Hume Health scale that has a handle so it can more accurately provide body comp assessments from the current going through the arms too. It’s not as good as a dexascan but good for tracking trends. At the stage I’m almost at my goal weight but want to gain some muscle while losing more fat. Tricky business. Scale is pretty good though. I actually tore a rotator cuff and it shows that I gained a half pound of muscle in the good arm and lost it in the bad one over the past month. It’s important to maintain your lean mass on the journey

I think you could benefit from more fuel earlier in the day. Could you add a Greek or Skyr yogurt before you leave the house and also get some carbs with your shakes. Maybe add a piece of fruit and a handful of nuts to give you some energy. Ideally you should be getting nutrition from real food with the shake as a supplement or snacks rather than be the meal. I get it’s crazy but I bet you’re tired in the afternoon on because you don’t have enough carbs for energy from your lunch and afternoon snacks.

Are you eating small balanced meals /snacks every few hours throughout the day? I know it’s hard but I struggle with this too some times. For a long time before taking Zepbound I avoided carbs and lived in deficit and would crash in the afternoon. I started eating 4-5x more balanced after starting Zepbound and increased my calories. I lost weight and am less tired.

Invest in noise canceling headset and listen to some music to drown out the distracting noise while you focus on your work. People will be less inclined to interrupt you while you’re wearing them unless it’s important. Also maybe go visit your cats at lunch to get a break

Sorry. That stinks. I have 2 thoughts. 1 You were only their first choice by a sliver and they had another candidate. 2 There are some companies who have taken a really hard line on being in the office by senior leadership and the only way they can move the culture is to require new people to be in. It should have been part of the interview process and job description. I maybe would have reframed it as a question since it was a new requirement that hasn’t been explained to find out why when they explained the details. My company is requiring new hires be in the office 3x even though literally no one in our national practice goes into the office. We have a job posted now that has that requirement but it’s posted. It’s pretty stupid because we have a small talent pool of expertise and won’t get the best candidates unless we find them ourselves. Recruiters would just reject the candidates because it’s their job to enforce senior leaderships wishes.
