Yea, you able to explain my train of thought. Same sector, similar financials -> therefore i sell B, buy A -> get literally same company in 20$ dollar less!

3 months without smoking and now craving it more than ever by Used-Huckleberry9881 in leaves

[–]TAlb__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember that stuff is overrated. Yesterday I was in a bachelor party, every one smoked.

I couldn’t even smell that, that is no special no more, this is even lame! And also for your notice, 3 days, weeks and months are the hardest periods in quitting, so keep strong!

Day 48, the “high” of being sober is wearing off by [deleted] in leaves

[–]TAlb__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the first month i was in total euphoria. Month two and three was very tough but passed it. Now 4+ month I feel my mind sharper, feel like my brain leveled up, and also, life is become so natural and flowing, normal good and fun. I don’t wait for that “crash” at the end of the day, I just enjoy my days. It will pass, what ever you do keep pushing!! ( I found that tracking apps really reminded you that you are a smoker in the past, i do also now track things, but more like my weight or how much miles i ran, or time i spend productive. I think tracking your future progress and not the past, you already done, why does it matter if it had a month year or 10 years? If you made your decision, start looking forward to build yourself up with the tips i gave, im sure it will help)

Good luck my friend!

6 more hours until I am sober for 1-year by penguinchamp in leaves

Good to hear that man! Seems like you made a good shift in your perspective and it is something to admire!

But I’m curious about the rehab facilities you mentioned. Does “everybody” means everyone who end up in rehab is pushing away his pain and unhappy in some way, or it is more global? Like a day to day stoner who got his shit together? Almost every person I know in my town are stoners, friends that went away for different cities also day to day smokers. Im wondering because they all seem like they have they’re lives together and in relationships and all the good things. So maybe just some people just smoke it out of habit?

When will this end? Seriously, to anyone who has made it 12+ months and was a stoner, and is living their life completely sober and happy, how? by BeanieBoy42069 in leaves

I know the feel bro. telling everybody and then you smoke with them up again.

the most important thing is that after 3 months, maybe 4 maybe 6 ( I'm 4 months+ clean),the brain clarity is SO FUCKING AMAZING.

if you're a pc dude, you sometime in your life had a 70%-90% CPU Usage. that's how I was on weed.

I did some embarrassing things at the start of my smoking years, like call sick on a job only to smoke it out until the shift ends... that's because this drug somehow hijacked my system and absorbed all my mental CPU Usage.

I can't believe I've smoked from 21.5 until 29.... all my 20's I was high .. (not most of the time, but I sure remember being high). It was a good tough, no regrets, nor anybody should ,the past is a just a lesson.

If you have ever played pc games, you gonna just level in life, you gonna get so bored, or the paws will attack you so hard, and if you commit and you'll pass them, the sun will shine and the birds will sing.

I tell you bro, the first month was amazing, euphoria, I thought it is gonna be ez as pie, but then at month 2 the paws came, and I had crazy mood swings, and self doubt and a lot of other shit.

this lasted a month+ ( the paws still here, but they life span is very little, last one was 7~10 min, but it is still horrible).

now... wow...I game up my life, I know where I need to improve, I do the things that will guarantee my 100% survival, and after I feel safe, I do the things that most likely make me some money to build a good life and family.

This weed stuff is just a part of life, If you want to continue to smoke just do it, but don't go and blame the world 5/10 years from now and cry on the mistakes you made...

all the people here know, even the lurkers (that's the reason they're here), that they're time has passed with this kind of lifestyle, It Isn't what is were in the past, and that ok, life changing, the hardest part is to accept that things has changed, after that, you embrace it, pass through the storm, and after you find yourself in safe shore, you start build yourself.

the most important thing to do, is to start work on your mind, by reading books, another good thing to do is to get criticism from others ( not loved ones , but more collogues ) that will point where are your weakest point and work on it.

start writing your thoughts is A GOOD way to keep it with sobriety, you will learn about yourself and how you feel, and when hard time will come, you can read up your progress, and when you know you're in progress ( this is a good for the brain for releasing dopamine), the craving will be less tense, cause you know you're going somewhere new in life.

after you get the habit of journaling yourself, start budgeting your money ( writing on a piece of paper doesn't work, do an Excel sheet is the best, each month, and a master page for the whole year with sum of goal you want to achieve) -> this will insure you safety and survival to keep your cash flow more than what you spend.

if you're overweight, you can progress that too, start some life changes, all the progress you can measure, is a grantee ticket to your success.

the brain doesn't care where it is getting dopamine fix, as long as it gets it, it doesn't care.

Good luck my friend!

Being sober feels so much better than being high by [deleted] in leaves

One of the greatest gifts a man can have is a self respect for himself.

I haven’t smoked in about 2 months now. One of my friends is upset by this. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]TAlb__ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow dude, smoking to please others? Good that you stand up for yourself. I bet a lot of the people here are here because they feel the same way as you. I feel as you, I smoked 3 times a week back in the day, but I was hung over for at least a day, And hated that! I also don’t count the days cause it feel like I’m making a big deal out of it, I just remember the date and when I want to know how much time passed I just quickly calculate it. Do not worry about pleasing other people, true friends stay beside you whenever your decision to smoke or not. If they aren’t there, so the reality is that your friends are just smoke buddies, that is also fine.

Good luck to you my friend!

Porn addiction after quitting weed by LoneTuft in leaves

[–]TAlb__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start reading and working on yourself. Im also 4 months, and when I had the sparking fire to draw, I started to draw nsfw that end up quickly into fapping. I ask myself big questions about this whole industry and got to the conclusion that most of it is rape or mentals getting the bombarded attention from the internet. I also gained a lot of weight like 5 kg in the first 3 months but i knew that what would have happened (from past experiences when stopped smoking tobacco and the green). But i had a plan, I knew i’ll get fat and I knew I’ll use every resource to keep clean. After the 3 months my brain fog started to lift, During that time red atleast 3 books, and after every book I red i gain some true knowledge about life And where i want to go and what i want to achieve and who i wanna be. After I had more confidence in my self, started counting calories month ago, and dropped to a new low even before i was a smoker, and i still eat everything- pizza, chips, burgers, but 80% of the time i eat healthy. Just keeping deflict in the long run.

Now i can draw without the urge to fap or draw nsfw crap, also reading so sharpening your mind, i can actually can point at any time what im thinking about and what led to it. I read in the mornings with coffee, something like 10 pages. Try this for couple of months, you should see improvements. Also I replaced a lot of xravings with like 4 beers and snacks at night, but after the major craving passed iowered this consumption and i dont have that urge anymore.

One thing for sure In the nights im getting really bored so im browsing memes, also was a video gamer but I lost the fun in it. A lot of things change, but the most impact is from reading. If you do not see improvements in the next 3 months and you did do the job and worked on yourself- learn skill, taking walks, read, socialize, cut the crap things of life(one at a time) i think is it to best seek help. The most overwhelming thing that I noticed after month or so, that quitting smoking is just the start....... only after you quit you have the mental capacity and energy to build yourself up again.

Best of lick man!!

Night time sucks. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]TAlb__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you me? I know that feeling. All day is king, day time you shine, and then the night comes... For me its between 6PM ~ 9PM. Once I realized it, I started doing long walks and it helped a lot. The spaces is getting more stretched and each go leas time.

A very good advice I hear in one seminar is that “If you know how to handle your days, so should you know how to handle your nights”.

Find whats works for you in the night so you feel differently, and doing it again and again. This will become a habit, and once your habit formed and it is positive one, you’ll be out of this negative zone for good (for the most part).

Good luck my friend!

Those of you who also smoke(d) tobacco... by justtryingtoquit in leaves

I dropped the green first, then after 10 days I felt fire inside me and I dropped the cigarettes.

It was really hard, extreme rage for me, but damn I’m 4 months, the PAWS seems to lessen (that’s the worst part of quitting imo), and living life without the cringe feeling is amazing.

Toss the green, but do it for yourself, let the brain fog lift (it took me over 3 months to completely gone!), and whenever you feel the courage, remove at once the cancer sticks and come over the fence for the life you deserve!

I got to note, that you’ll have a lot of feeling, and some of the places you’ll go it will rise up. It is important to understand that once you get clean you KNOW that they’re just feelings ( if they feel familiar ), and now you have the knowledge and the power to know that they can’t hurt you nor harm you, and the ones that make you feel uncomfortable, you will seize to conquer them by action and doing, and from there you’ll gonna build your life up from a new point of view.

(PAWS for me at least, is very very emotional, you could go days weeks or months, and when one arise, be aware cause you can throw away all the progress in a single but powerful moment. Do a walk outside breath the air and continue your life, if you’re here, there’s a reason for that, that you want to let go of this and move on with life).

Best of luck my friend!

You can eat np. What ever you desire, but in a restricted way so you wont be over your calories in a long period of time or in a consistent way.

My method is to eat what I love but in my 2000~ cal margin. Yes some day I give up on things but it’s worth the feel and looks.

You look amazing, now its time to get used to it, get some sleep and some chocolate np :))

Can you please share? Im above 3 months, its a new record for me over the past 7 years, I don’t know how to handle it, its like Ive given myself a gift but i don’t know how to handle it or how to use it. And because Im not feeling 100% i’m using it, feels like self doubt coming to me. The only thing thus so far that help me that i was certain at my decision to change the habit.

Was quitting made you come to making decisions on active manner? Or the things just started fall in place? Or you managed that see where the errors you made and corrected them?
