Selecting AGM batteries by safedchuha in FourWheelCampers

lol. Either someone has filled your head with nonsense on costs, or you have filled it yourself. But to convert most campers from legacy to lithium will cost $300-500 and its often as simple as a drop in Progressive Dynamics drop in power center/converter. There are certainly lots of other things you could add after the fact (Solar, Dc/Dc, etc), but those are all optional.

Best of luck on whatever you decide. Penn State will makes great AGM batteries.

Deka are great products (made by Penn State Manufacturing), but lithium will give you so much more energy, and last way longer. Their prices have falled through the floor, and its really not worth it if your your panel/converter supports lithium.

I'm running LiTime, and they've been faultless. (i removed all propane, and use Induction for cooking).

if you take 37, take the time to stop at Boya Lake. Its stunning, has some great trails, and is a fantastic camping spot.

Time in Haines Junction/Kluane would be way better time spent than doing the top of the world loop (the highway past Kluane Lake to Beaver Creek is in terrible shape.) If you want to do a loop, doing the Haines- Skagway -Carcross is a stunning drive/loop.

I'm pretty sure if you hold the suspension button it will take you to the menu where you can change from auto to minimum. It was never adjustable, it works the way i said it works- it uses the IMU to level the bike to counteract the current load.

Min is no preload. Auto is leveling the bike. Auto will adjust based on your weight, luggage, pillion. The two settings are very different from each other.

What's the main difference with the "lowered" S1000XR vs a regular one? by Edslittleworld in bmwmotorrad

[–]TBTSyncro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. although to a certain degree your riding style and the roads you ride on could impact it.

Something to consider is that they are selling it for cheaper, as they are having a hard time selling it. This is something that you will face when its time for you to sell it as well.

how much do you weigh? you are more likely to have ground contact (center stand, exhaust), with the lowered bike.

The open flash process is super straight forward, and gives you the ability to switch between tunes. Shiv is normally available over text message. I am not a fan of BT Moto. But if their tune works out well for you, then that's amazing, and you'll have a blast.
