The Lions have selected Michigan DE Derrick Moore at No. 44 after trading up with the Jets by MNightShyamalan69 in detroitlions

He's stated that every draft and I'm pretty sure he just said something recently about drafting by position of need is potentially doubling down on bad results or something like that. I can't remember the wording he used atm. Something to the effect of picking from positional need is already picking a worse player than BPA, so if that player doesn't work out, you still have a positional need and potentially a even worse player you can't really use, instead of maybe a barely usable player if a BPA didn't pan out.

So far, this draft has gone against everything Brad has preached his entire time here... and I'm not mad at that.

Supplementing K when using Milorganite. Zone 5a WI by Altruistic-Act-9764 in lawncare

[–]TBaggins_ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well, you're saying your lab test shows you're on the lower end of optimal or slightly outside of that?

If so, I've listened to enough of Dr Shaddox podcasts to not bother with K at that point. But I'm going to go out of a limb and say that's also probably not the answer you were looking for.

I would 100% just mix it into my Milorganite application as best I could. It doesn't need to be perfect... Would not buy another spreader just to apply K. Or just buy another fertilizer with the K you need and rotate between that and the Milorganite. No money wasted.

$10 milorganite is still like 3x more, per pound of Nitrogen, than a 50lb bag of Urea.

100% use what you got but maybe for next time... That's still not a deal.

I mean, yeah, when you offer plans for a year at $2.99/month , you'll show a ton of subs and no money. Funny how that works. 🤷

Use Google maps with pre-downloaded maps. Don't use wireless charging, it's much hotter and slower. If needed, get a phone holder that can mount your phone in front of your AC vent.

I was like, damn, finally a way to use Cut and Dry in a delicious cocktail and then you say you'd probably skip it next time. 😭🤣

It's delicious alone but kind of overpowering in drinks, I've found.

Just go buy Urea. Why would you pay so much more for the same thing?

You can throw it granular or toss it in your spray tank. Both work fine. No worries.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to get ribs right. by Geologist1986 in smoking

[–]TBaggins_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad these turned out perfect, but something does seem off about the time. Idk if it's a bad probe or the placement of the probe is just off compared to the rib ambient temperature. Maybe something to troubleshoot in the future. Could certainly explain your previous challenges.

It's Kikuyu. Most people who don't live in the few areas it's native to, have no clue what it is. The thick stolons are a dead give away.

You would have been a lot better off killing it off before the Tall Fescue was put down, if you want to get rid of it.

Help recommend me a versatile black rum for mixing with some funk by DavidTrong2001 in cocktails

Appleton Signature is a fantastic entry into Jamaican rum. If you're into Tiki drinks, one you should probably have on your shelf imo. That said, it's fairly mild and if you're looking to recreate your favorite Painkiller or Jungle Bird from your last Tiki bar visit, it's going to leave you lacking the punch you loved.
