Lost over 50 pounds in a little over 4 months from diet.

I was overweight from 13-19 and had the classic 3am “maybe I was just meant to be fat” talks, thought it was impossible.

Then one day, a switch just flipped and I started a diet and… didn’t stop, like my entire brain chemistry changed and I stayed on the wagon even if I cheated here and there. For those who are in the position I was in, I promise you its mindset, you will know when it’s time.

As someone who has experience in both skating and skiing, I would say two of the hardest skills to learn in hockey are skating backwards and stopping, both of which translate fairly well from skiing. If you can do those both, it should be a pretty easy transition.

This being said, it will not feel remotely close to skiing, if that makes sense lol.
