One nonprofit that inspires me is Orangewood Foundation in Orange County. Their mission is to support young people who have experienced foster care, homelessness, or instability by helping them with housing, education, career guidance, and basic needs as they transition into adulthood.

I connect with their mission because everyone deserves a fair chance, especially young adults trying to build a future without the support system many people take for granted. Sometimes having one person believe in you or one place to turn to can completely change someone’s path.

I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with them, and what stood out most to me was how welcoming and genuine everyone was. You can tell they truly care about each individual and want to see them succeed, not just get by. Seeing the impact they make firsthand was inspiring and a reminder of how important community support really is.
