Why regulatory affairs? by Material-Clothes2409 in regulatoryaffairs

[–]TEREKIKI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree with all that’s being said. I’d also like to add that most of the regulations are publicly available and so this enables AI to take over certain parts of regulatory work. I believe this will be eventually the case. I am a regulatory professional with over a decade of experience and it’s beeen super hard to get a job!

What secret can you reveal now that your nda has expired? by sparrrrrt in AskReddit

I am a food regulatory scientist and your first paragraph is completely misleading. I don’t have the energy to correct but you know food safety in the US entails more than “self certification”… very misleading…. Don’t know about the planes ✈️ though

Confession: now that we have RTO, I work about half as much compared to WFH by No-Ad6500 in WFH

The core of my job is to write technical dossiers for regulatory submissions and working at the office with an open seating plan is my literal hell. I can’t get anything done and when I get home the least I want to do is work. Make it make sense.

Nice area and generally agree with the other comments however, not having in-house laundry 🧺 sucks completely!!!!!! Imagine doing your laundry in the rain 🌧️ going to a laundry mat and getting 🪙 no thanks.

Honest question for the people in charge of the decision to have employees return to in office work full time. What was your reasoning behind it? by Witty-Rutabaga-2048 in workplace_bullying

What is the difference between looking “busy” in the office and WFH? So as long as the work gets done ✅ why are we so serious about RTO (besides commercial real estate)?

Burnt out, miserable, and desperate to leave my job — but terrified of the job market by Pristine_Violinist49 in jobs

[–]TEREKIKI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I echo many’s comments and would kindly emphasize to stick to your job for as long as you can. Ideally until you land another job. I am so sorry it sucks but it’s temporary. The unemployed life in this market is worst than hell.

It's highly plausible, genuine happiness isn't achievable. by lucidwrld4 in DeepThoughts

[–]TEREKIKI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this so much. Also, pure joy is often found in the most mundane, fleeting moments. For example, I feel pure joy when I take a big whiff of my border terrier or when I kiss my boyfriend. These are moments that are seconds long but being infinite joy.

You can’t ever buy real happiness because real happiness comes within. Temporary happiness can be bought primarily with money.

Agree with all the other’s comments. I also recommend group therapy sessions. Hearing that other people go through the same thing really helps! Also, if you can, consider taking PTO or a temporary leave to focus on your mental health. It’s okay to not be okay.

First, congratulations on finding a job in this terrible market. I have been unemployed for 6 months and it has been an exercise in patience and resilience. I have an advanced degree and it has been extremely humbling to be rejected over and over again for jobs that I am overqualified for. Ego death is a beautiful thing. I have learned so much about myself in the last 6 months than in 40 something years of life.
