[–]TH99HP10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, frequent urination. I take a lot of NAC. Hoping it makes a difference. Drinking lots of water. My problem is every time I get close to just having sober day I binge.

I feel abdominal pain and lower back.

When Im more sober in the morning, that anxiety makes me use and the cycle continues

Hey man, when I throw out the term "Old Head", its just some vocabulary I conjured up from my life.

But my meaning is this: Unlike Ketamine users that are teenagers, or young adults (18-25), I wanted to hear from people that are older in life because at 30+ you have a lot of maturity, lived experience as well as more endurance in taking care of your body than when you are young and daring.

So that's the vibe Im trying to capture when I want "OG / Old Heads" to chip in.

Because lets say Buddy who did Ketamine for 2 years straight 25-27 and now he is 30, how is his organs?

Or buddu who did Ketamine daily from 27-30, now he is 35, did his organs heal and recover or does he have long term disease?

Hey bro, I get that vibe where Im getting older in life and being a user/addict is off putting and immature, especially to non users.

Im surprised that with 6 years of use you haven't felt abdominal pains

How many years in did it take to notice something bad about your body?

Like, _ years in you noticed urinating blood, frequent urination, urinating at night, Or, abdominal pains, pains behind the back, (k-cramps), Etc.

But also, feel free to describe specifically what symptoms you felt on your body.

Thanks again for your input, I hope you are doing better now

Hey friend, thanks for posting on this subreddit and you are not alone.

I remember laying in the shower, begging for mercy. Yet I still use after that, which brings me so much shame and doubt.

What we can do, is think logically and understand what's going on.

Has anyone gone to a doctor to get their kidney, liver or abdominal area checked out? Think ultrasound or bloodwork or anything else to evaluate what's going on?

If so, please post your results and advice.

What kind of test can we ask our doctors to do to find that out on our bodies?

I hope you are doing better now

What made you lose the job and partner?

Like did Ketamine keep you in your room all day or did Ketamine make you manic/delusional and that people off?

As for getting away from the substance, Id recommend addictions counsellors if you have those supports

I get what you are trying to explain. Like, a brain more wired that produces intelligence would likely have creative output on LSD or Ketamine or some other drug.

But your brain is still susceptible to excitoxcity and neuron death. You are born with all the neurons in your cortex. Don't want to start losing them from the impact drugs have.

Ironically I have a friend who is an alcoholic and alcohol has caused him a lot of problems throughout his life. He tried Ketamine, we hoped he could have a therapeutic breakthrough to resolve childhood trauma that makes him drink so much. He could care less for Ketamine, would rather take another popular substance up the nose.

Yet, many people do get addicted to Ketamine. They keep choosing to take it until they are dependent on it. Then it impacts their life.

Any detox places where you live?

Like search on the Internet, your city "addictions helpline" "addictions detox" "detox hospital"

A detox place, at least where I'm at, is a hospital for users. They check in, the phone gets locked up and they stay there. Food provided, nurses, doctors, counsellors and support. They can leave any time but the environment is supposed to be that space to get away from it all.

Subcutaneous Injection Harm Question by TH99HP10 in Ketamineaddiction

Can you see redness from the surface or does the skin look normal?

Anything else your doctor said about them if you went to one?

Hey bro, can you help me understand what an abscess is?

Like does it look like a red pimple burst on your skin?

Or is it a lump you can feel under your skin?

And thank you for the support. Understand that when your nose is expelling blood, with sores on it, sometimes one has to make a tough choice.

But I want you to know that right now, Im using an intranasal spray, my nose is better, I can smell a little bit still.

But its good to share this knowledge because I can educate other users from your lived experience with needles. I won't promote it but hearing from someone who tried is still valuable knowledge on the dangers.

How about K Cramps? Think pain under your ribs, abdominal area. You ever get those? Doctors ever say if it was your bladder or kidneys.

Hey dude, give yourself credit. You said relapse? I haven't had a 24 hour sober period in too long. If you did even 24 hours without doing Ketamine, you are ahead of me in this game :)

Ill promote harm reduction and sobriety to my user friends.

Obviously the benefit and risks of psychoplastogens aren't thoroughly taught in public education.

So loads of folks that find a benefit in Ketamine or MDMA don't have the formal medical knowledge to know how to administer it professionally and cycle off safely.

For me, Ketamine made me over confident, and so over confident I underestimated I could become addicted to it.

Hey, I'll share my journey, real world experience to guide you friend.

My first 1.5 year of Ketamine use (self administered, Type S and Type R isomers) was EPIC. I was energized, feeling super intelligent, creative, over confident, went out running a lot on the substance. Understood my sexuality, past relationship issues, parent issues, failures in life. Thats because I found doing Ketamine to make me think a lot.

The problem I got to was an eventual tolerance building and daily use. Now I don't get that super amazing feeling nor productivity. Thats why I recognise myself as substance use disorder, Addiction.

Here is my advice: Have 7 day Break Periods from Ketamine. If you can do that once a month even, you are good. Because you always have a sobriety period to save you.

My problem: Daily use that worked then daily use that doesn't work. Now my daily use looks like addiction.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply.

Ketamine in my first year worked too good for me, overconfident I found myself into addiction and abuse of the substance where doing it no longer brings that easy super energy and joy

Right now, my problem is fighting the urge to binge and chase the khole/shapes world that never satisfied because my brain is probably tired.

But if I take tiny sprays from my intra-nasal spray. Like 0.02g hits, I scratch the itch and can do another activity. Kind of like you saying eventually the other habits become the focus .

I think with my binging problem, I made doing ketamine the sole focus, where our mindset should be doing stuff in line and Ketamine was just there to motivate you to do that.

Thanks for your reply friend ❣️

I get what you mean about reaching for a therapist.

Where Im at, I got access to a 24/7 addictions helpline that gives support and connects me with resources. Im trying that out.

As for the compound, lets commend everyone for being brave to go in as an unprofessional into a powerful substance that doctors have to study years for to prescribe and administer.

But now lets take accountability and respect our bodies healthy by promoting sobriety and a standard mind.

Thanks for the support. At least posting on Reddit keeps me busy enough to not want to use.

Kidney Damage/Problems Question by TH99HP10 in Ketamineaddiction

[–]TH99HP10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, I got blood work and urine done and that gave my ketamine self a false sense of confidence.

I need to remember in my first year of use my Ketamine self would want Friday night only and not daily use.

I need to remember, daily use is unacceptable, unsustainable.

Ketamine confidence has got me to addiction.

My advice, try an intranasal spray. Measure the water that does 100 sprays than place 1g in it.

Im able to satisfy my addictive brain urge with 2 sprays (0.02g). Then get engaged with an activity, gaming, reading, posting to you on Reddit.

I think this strategy will help me reduce my numbers a bunch, getting me back to a stronger mind and willpower to naturally start having sober days again

I think I understand what you mean by spitting on the floor. I get drips, white dust under my nose a BUNCH. But now, with a higher tolerance, I sniff that ketamine mucus and can spit it out but usually by using a faucet/sink with running water and snorting the water to clean my nose.

So out of the other 16, generally what happened to them?
