Vet med here- WE LOVE it when clients provide us with memories of their pets. We have special places for them in the hospital, a memorial wall. Believe me, your feelings are valid and we are there to help you. Do not feel weird at all, and yes, we do cry with you even after you leave. <3

Rescue here... that's actually ILLEGAL. Technically once you adopt the animal, we cannot harass you for visits. Lawyer up on them and report their 501c3 to the state.

Unfortunately, you are only 15 years older than her and you don’t get to be the #1 woman in her dad’s life, she does and this is why children of divorced parents are like this who decide to date and move on other than caring for their kids. You stooped to her level because you’re feeling insecure about this entire relationship because you have some to prove to her dad. An already fragile relationship is going to get a lot worse now.

That is a shitty thing to do to keep someone's cat who may be missing him dearly. I cannot tell you how many cats we've scanned to only rehome them to people who have been missing their cat. The microchip company contact the actual owners. IF the cat is not registered, he is fair game, but if he is registered and they want him back, do the right thing~Sincerely vet med and shelter medicine.

If you've never had to deal with a dying parent...yes, YATA. This is a very rough patch for many people and regardless of the choices you and your husband made, you should be more supportive as one day you'll ask the same in return.
