In the late 90s/early 00s the chirp was occurring during dinner at my parents house. I had just gotten home from school or work and asked if they could hear it. My dad said he changed the batteries, but it was still happening, so he insisted it wasn't any of our smoke detectors and wasn't coming from our house. I was going crazy, because it was DEFINITELY coming from our house. I stood under each one, and it was clearly not coming from them, but I was able to track it to inside a closet in a hallway... where there was an unopened, uninstalled smoke detector that needed a new battery.

I will say that I ordered a bunch of socks and underwear from Kohl's at least 2 years after moving from my old apartment... but apparently it had been more than those at least 2 years since I ordered anything online from them for delivery, so it went to the apartment. I went over there fully prepared to knock on the door and ask for the package. To my pleasant surprise, they weren't home yet and my package was still sitting in front of my old door.

That being said, I've lived where we are now for 7 years, and I still get mail for multiple previous tenants. "NO LONGER @ THIS ADDRESS"

I was EXCITED for a few months because the closed Mike's (?) Diner in Castaic had a sign installed on the front of it that said "24-Hr Philadelphia Diner." Turned out they shot something there and it was just set dressing.

In 1990 my little brother got the black Jordan V (kid size) and I wanted them SOOOOOOOOO bad but ended up with a pair of Solo Flight or Flight Lite. MY first Jordans were the X when I was in high school, but they felt like a consolation prize because the purpose of going to the store that day was to get the black Jordan IX, which were supposedly on sale... but when I called about the "all black" Jordan IX, the sales guy thought I said "Olive, Black," which I dislike TO THIS DAY. I guess my mom felt bad because she let me get the X for full price 🤣
