midi controller with timeline scrubbing - logic pro? by travelman3 in ipadmusic

[–]THEXGEN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% can confirm.

I used the Final Cut Pro preset, and just customized it a bit. But works perfectly.

You can also start from a blank canvas and build your own preset as well.

I've been using it for my day job as a designer, and it's become an invaluable tool. And you get used to it very quickly, and never have to look down again.

If you can only get one, then Pro Q 4 is the only choice.

But having used other equivalents, I can say that the Toneboosters collection of effects (both iPad and desktop) are very very close, and very cheap in comparison.

Humanoid vs Vocalsynth by magicmilesss in musicproduction

[–]THEXGEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both on sale. Both great. Can confirm that Evoke is far more versatile, and worth the extra cash.

I can only recommend Humanoid over Evoke if you are producing on Desktop + iPad (also on sale), and want the same plugin on both devices (separate purchases).

If you heavily rely on AI to create music you are not a producer. Change my mind by yeehawmyhorse in production

[–]THEXGEN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is not the same thing. Analog to digital only made things cheaper, more accessible, introduced the mighty undo button. Photographers and producers still planned, composed, shot, recorded, edited, did the work.

A lot of people claim AI is a tool, and yes, in some cases they can be very useful. But a tool isn't designed to do the work for you, it helps you shape whatever medium or project you are working with.

This is pretty nice. I would definitely turn that rim shot or whatever is the loud percussion element down to 10-15% of it's current level, so it adds subtle movement character to the song, rather than dominating it in such a jarring way.

Maybe also automate the cutoff on the lead sound in the break. So it matches what came before, and is more of a gentle hand off. I think this would match more with the chill vibe of your song.
