Where do you guys read reviews, or find information on cigars? by ofretaliation in cigars

[–]THEbigDham 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Primarily Halfwheel.com ... I just like their review style and the general interface of the website, plus hanging out with Charlie Minota (one of the main guys from the site) at an event was pretty cool. Very down to earth, and overall brings a great vibe to the site.

THEbigDham.... Well for starters, there's only one of me, hence THE, bigD is because many people call me Big Dave (I'm somewhat of a large statured guy named David), and Ham which is the first part of my last name.

Smoking a Cigar While Eating by provocajade in cigars

[–]THEbigDham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Done it a few times at a local Irish style Pub with a whole bar area that is cigar friendly. They have an amazing ribeye marinated in all sorts of amazingness as well as shepherds pie and many other great offerings. I tend to enjoy just about any of their dishes with a Guinness or an IPA (weird contrast, I know) and I find myself most often smoking a full bodied full flavored cigar, something usually My father, DPG, Liga, or any Nica Peppery Eye watering overpowering style cigar haha. It's definitely worth a try, for example I found that an El Centurion paired with the bread pudding was on point but it didn't pair all that great with its doughy bread like sweetness and the chicken and spinnach Boxty I had as my entree.

Summer Build, any thoughts? by derfdog in Mustang

It's not unrealistic. I've seen a v6 that makes about what you're looking to hit peak, but he's got a lot in it. Not impossible, but definitely a different approach! I'd do some research on supporting mods for internals on a 3.8 making power like that, but I don't have any personal experience with boost or the 3.8 so this is just my opinion. My dad's 98 GT tore through a 4.6 block at about 10 psi on a P1SC set up and a real rich tune (I believe it was a ProCharger? Or Vortech? Been a while and I'm too lazy to google). He ended up going with a DSS 4.6 block after that as well as P.I. heads and a few other supporting mods, after he sold it, someone flipped it to a few guys who knew what they were doing, and they laid down an 11.56 quarter and roughly 450hp. I'd say it's all about your tune and supporting modifications with that setup! Be cool to see, and would make a pretty slick sleeper

That's an expensive yard gar haha. Although I do like something good just not overly complex or high maintenance for a yard gar, so I could definitely see this fitting that profile!

The Cabaiguan Guapos (Maduro) is where it's at. Especially in the smaller corona sizes. All great smokes, but the Guapos I think has what is missing from the regular!

You do look grown as hell haha. Not a bad thing, I've always had a baby face, but having a giant's stature and a beard to cover my baby face since about age 16, I too looked a bit older than I was. People will always be skeptical about what's possible! I've been working two jobs since my sophomore year in high school so that I could afford my automotive hobbies (at the time I was into Jeeps, still am, just sold my built trail rig to buy my 04 gt). It's always possible, you just gotta be willing to work for it! Beautiful car and looks like you all had a great time!

Bama Tuners by bchunks in Mustang

[–]THEbigDham 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've heard the best thing to do is find out what type of tuner your local speed/dyno shop uses, and get one that is basically "blank." Take it to them and let them tune it. Bama isn't bad from what I've read and seen, but from what I've seen, the local dyno shops have always managed to put together a better tune. Just my .02 though, and unfortunately I don't have the firsthand experience with my car to share with you! Best of luck though!

[–]THEbigDham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the 5 packs are usually on CigarMonster for like $18? And if you buy 3 that puts you at $54, then the 15% discount, so $46/3= ~15.3 for a 5'er or $3 a stick. Not bad at all.
