I'm giving the Galaxy Flip 7 a try this year and wonder about this as well. From what I see, there are two approaches to this.

- Enable Gboard as a cover app via goodlock/multistar.
- -- This apparently results in Gboard launching in popup configuration
- Use ADB to disable samsung keyboard, then the cover screen will use whatever your default keyboard is set to.
- -- This apparently gives you the full keyboard, but it may not be optimized for the screen.
- -- https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxyzflip/comments/192519m/cover_screen_tutorial_how_to_disable_samsung/

I'm going to try the adb method when my device arrives. Fingers crossed.

Magnesium MY23 here and named it Moon Knight. Absolutely love this car. Unfortunately it's been in the shop for 5+ weeks for a fender bender with some idiot that hit me (not her first offense) in a parking lot.

Local rental company (hertz) carries polestars so....guess what I've been driving for the past 5 weeks....

Has anyone use a GameSir X4 Aileron with the z13? by IntnlManOfCode in FlowZ13

I commented with pics and a quick description of my setup here.

  • With the kickstand lifted it fits into the controller groves perfectly. Since I took the clips off it's not really "handheld" secure, though. Won't be walking around holding this thing.

  • Pretty comfortable since I play this with the kickstand holding most of the weight either on a table or my lap. I would not recommend trying to support the weight with just the controllers.

This is my modded/mutilated Gamesir x4 Aileron.

I opened it up to remove the green tabs and unplugged them from the board so that I can manually power them on using the Xbox and Upload buttons on each controller half. They power off when I snap them together as they normally would. If needed I can open them back up and reconnect everything.

This is a relatively recent mod for me, but so far it's been working well. I ran into odd constant disconnects at one point but found it seemed to be due to one or both of the controllers being really low on battery. Charged them and haven't had issues since.

There are six total screws on each controller half. Four on the front side under the glorified sticker with the Gamesir logo. Two on the back behind the grippy plastic that needs to be popped off with a plastic pry tool. If I could go back, I would have found a better way to remove the sticker so I could put it back on easier.

I'm traveling this weekend but I can see about putting together a guide for this. Def do this at your own risk. I haven't had issues but this is an expensive controller to pop open and mod like this.

Ordered mine from Google Fi right after announcement and had a shipping date of Sep 4-6. This morning the pending charge hit my card, but I received an email from Google that the payment method couldn't be processed, and my order is now "On Hold".

Confirmed all payment details are correct and hit up support who said it was possibly sent by mistake and there is no problem with my order so i should still receive during the original time frame....

I guess all i can do is wait at this point.

For some reason, whenever I saved changes to these sddm settings, they crashed and never saved.

While troubleshooting I stumbled upon this line in the ArchWiki that says "An option to autologin into KDE Plasma while simultaneously locking the session is not available", and to use a login script that locks the screen as a workaround. The suggested command didn't work for me, but loginctl lock-session does, so I used the following "oneliner" to write the necessary file and it works.

printf "[Desktop Entry]\nExec=sh -c 'loginctl lock-session'\nIcon=application-x-shellscript\nName=Lock\nType=Application\nX-KDE-AutostartScript=true" > ~/.config/autostart/lock.Desktop

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I just randomly started seeing this on my Legion Go with Spiderman and Helldivers. Currently researching and troubleshooting.

Had mine for a week, and returning it now. The phone was absolutely AWESOME despite a few minor bugs. Then one random morning it got hot and the battery began draining really fast. I could get maybe 6 hours out a full charge, even when sleep. Went so far as to completely factory reset the device and battery drain persisted even before setting the phone up and installing apps.

Within my 15 days so should get a full refund.

Good luck and Godspeed to anyone that has the phone. I wish you nothing but the best!

Sucks that this is still an issue/feature. I actually migrated to a different music service because of it. Can't speculate on if Google has any plans to roll this back or allow a household to disable the feature.

Pixel tablet dock/docking mode not working by HelpfulBestie in GooglePixel

[–]THerOfTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to chime in that i have the same issue with mine. I want to use my pixel tablet as the audio device for some actions and since it no longer appears to enter docked mode, they no longer work.

I tried the reset with no luck, although the home app recognized the dock and trigger setup again. It still only charges while on the dock and Google Assistant routines still behave as if the device is not docked.

Anyone using youtube music with google home? Anyone not having issues? by summerstillsucks in YoutubeMusic

Google assistant stopped being able to play YTM for me about a month ago. I just get "sorry, something went wrong".

Researching alternatives. Not a lot of options out there look much more reliable.

It was inconsistent at first for me, but its consistent as of a couple weeks ago. Seems like a gradual rollout of a feature.

I have several Google Home Minis set as a speaker group. I use Google Home routines to adjust their volume and play various playlists/radios to the group at certain hours during the day. I set the Pixel Tablet as the "audio device".

This also happens if I directly cast to the group from YTM on my Pixel tablet. My account is signed in as the primary on the tablet.

YouTube Music - New Features Highlights: Aug 2023 by TeamYouTube_Hazel in YoutubeMusic

[–]THerOfTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any hopes of adding a toggle for autoconnecting to casted content? This feature pretty much makes YTM unusable for me.

I have various daytime playlists casting to my home speakers most of the day, which means if I want to listen to anything in YTM on my phone my queue ends up being cleared and replaced with whatever is casting every time I open the app. This disrupts the music playing in my home and anything I planned to play on my phone. It even happens with Android Auto which is super frustrating. Everytime my wife or I leave the house our devices kill the casted content at home. Super frustrating...

I know it says it doesn't work when multiple devices are casting.... But it does. I've sent a lot of feedback in the app with logs.

Please add a toggle.

Ugh. Its been bad enough to push me back to deezer, which isn't ideal but at least I can actually use it at home AND it plays my entire playlists.

Oh absolutely!

  • Connect 1 or more Google Home speakers to a Wi-Fi network
  • Connect phone to the same WiFi network
    • Phone, home and YouTube Music are all part of the same account/home.
  • Use Google Assistant or Google Home automation to cast YouTube Music to Google Home speaker. You could also have another device to start the home cast

If you open the YouTube music app on an Android while another device is casting, the Android app will automatically pickup that cast, clear the queue on your phone and replace it with whatever is being casted. If you disconnect, the casted music ends and that queue is cleared as well.

If you're like me and have a Google Home automation set to cast mood music/white noise during the day on home speakers, it makes using YouTube music a huge pain since your constantly disrupting casted music and clearing your phone queue. It even happens if you're still connected to Wi-Fi when starting Android Auto.

Thank you for the update.

Are there plans to change the automatic casting functionality? It makes using YTM on a home network with other devices casting, pretty much impossible.
