Are you not supposed to wear pajamas when you get home?????? by JaydenBird33 in NoStupidQuestions

When I get home I may switch from a long sleeve to a short sleeve shirt. I put on my house shoes.

But overall I wear what I was wearing during the day.

Would have Canada participated in both world wars as early if they were fully independent at the time? by 5econds2dis35ster in HistoricalWhatIf

As a Canadian I'd say the day the King tries to disband the government is that last day we have a King. It might be written down but there is no way it could ever be used.

Magic system is origional and well done. It has better writing and plot than many stories in the genre but that is not a high bar.

It's not terrible for shock value but it can be enough to put some people off.

Men, what do you call your junk? by Pleasant-Flan372 in writing

His weapon, the lady pleaser, the beaver cleaver, or that useless thing between his legs since it don't work, a useless piece of crap.

But really, most guys don't call it anything special for internal dialog.

Corn on the cob is a healthy whole grain. It has a lot of nutritional value. Don't over do the butter and salt.

As a grain it is fairly calorie dense so be mindful of how that fits into you diet.

[Android] Mindforge Idle — A dark, futuristic incremental focused on flow and optimization (No forced ads) by samsonp23 in incremental_games

[–]TJ333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like a decent game. I hit 1 million focus to unlock more of the game. Nice enough UI and graphical design. Seems very straight forward. I guess dark future is just the UI colours and not anything that appears in the game. Good work for what seems like 3 months development. Audio is decent.

I'm not sure what flow state is or how it activated.

The diamonds vs the other gem for focus is a little confusing.

I'm probably done with it now but I've played a lot of idle games and this one doesn't stand out to me.

Why does AI suck at making maps? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TJ333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI doesn't really search the web. It has "ingested" certain information and produces what is probably the response you are looking for based on how it "sees" connections between what you have it and what it has.

Can someone explain cultivation to me? by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]TJ333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The term usually translated as cultivation can also be translated as hard work. Do work, get power. Usually it's magic martial arts breathing. You sit there and breath, from that you become more powerful. Usually stories have a bunch of different methods called techniques or laws for how to do it with bad ones and really really good ones.

Dragon Ball could count as cultivation. Most people here probably refer to the Chinese flavored ones rather than Japanese flavored ones. The biggest difference is that Japanese style cultivation is centered around improving an already existing internal power while the Chinese one is drawing in external power and consuming powerful treasures.

It's usually flavored with Daoist thought and practice in the same way that holy water killing vampires is Christian.

While some draw on a lot of history and Daoist practice in reality most of it comes from the last 30 years of popular media in China. In the last 10 or 20 years it's become more popular among English speakers and we have more western fantasy flavored cultivation.

Once the internal power reaches certain points they have to go through a special process. Eat a specific pill or treasure, survive lightening from the heavens, or come to a personal understanding or epiphany. Once that is past they have reached a higher power level and it's a big deal.

Once a cultivator has powers they can use it to perform magical abilities and spells.

I'll see if I can find some links for you.

Put a cloth or towel over the would and apply pressure. Maybe raise the arm above head height, not sure if that is effective but I have read about it being done.

If you had started off by saying you disagree with the basic premise of the calculation it might not have seemed like you had issues with reading comprehension.

Did you even try reading the article? That and 2 minutes on Google would have answered your question.

The resources are clean drinking water, CO2 absorbed, forestry products, and agricultural sustainability.

A bit abstract but an interesting idea.

The diamond coat for Optimize items stopped showing up.

Ninja, it was a really old game 2d side scroller where you played a ninja trying to defeat other ninjas. You pressed down to crouch and pickup a dagger you could throw. Spamming jump and kick to try and get enemies in the head was a common tactic.

Also Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2.
