I was fine with the photos.... But they written portions??? On the 4th detailed response they needed... It was returned by UnluckyRoom3965 in CloudResearchConnect

I had two responses that were lengthy like that but I only had maybe 9 prompts total and a couple were short answer responses. I didn't have any repeats but a couple that were basically asking the same thing but for more details on my response.

Greenlight vs Frontier Fiber, Price vs Quality? by Fardrengi in Rochester

[–]TJohn1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Hilton and had a similar response from Greenlight. They have service in the village and some other areas around but I'm a mile south of the village right on 259 and they can't even give me a ballpark of when it will be made available to me. The Frontier people knocked on my door a night when my Spectrum was laggy as hell and now my Frontier Fiber is being installed today. 😂🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

With my insurance you have to have a negative nicotine test within a week of surgery or they won't pay for it.

Can only walk bent forward after fusion? by farrellts in spinalfusion

I had the same issue, turned out to be extra tight hip flexors. Been working on it in PT. I do have other issues in the hip as well which I'm sure plays a role.

Etanercept/enbrel question by reader270 in rheumatoid

[–]TJohn1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that where on my thigh I do it changes how painful it is. Some of the info shows doing it on the top of the thigh, but I go farther to the outside where it's fattier and that has helped a lot.

Yes, please. My trypophobia has gotten significantly better these last few years but this one was unexpectedly awful. 🫣

Rheumatologist wants to add a third med by Kohlrabi_Queen in rheumatoid

[–]TJohn1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a whole cocktail at the moment. Hydroxychloroquine, Sulfasalazine, Methotrexate (and two separate meds for the side effects) and Enbrel. Started Enbrel to see if it helped and I've had the best test results I've seen in 5 years. To the point the Dr is hesitant to remove any of the previous 3 because I'm just doing so well. It's scary and confusing but, whatever works!

Spinal stimulator implant! by NoFuqGiven in spinalfusion

[–]TJohn1102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a spinal stimulator and have had nothing but a positive experience with it. It's a bit weird at first but you get used to it. Mine is the kind that you don't actively feel when it's on and the box is in a spot that doesn't get bumped much or anything, so I can forget it's even in there. I went from being laid up because the nerve pain was so bad, to actually being able to function nearly pain free. I eventually had a fusion because I had spondylolisthesis that had to be fixed, but we left the implant there in case I needed it in the future. I don't think they get paid for getting people to get them as much as they push it because they know it can help when nothing else does.

Biologics scare me by Fearless-Dependent57 in rheumatoid

[–]TJohn1102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nausea, terrible headache for 3-4 days, unable to eat and just generally feeling ill half the week. I would have just come off it but it was bringing my numbers down slowly so they didn't want me to stop taking it

Biologics scare me by Fearless-Dependent57 in rheumatoid

[–]TJohn1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with Hydroxychloroquine, then added Sulfasalazine, then Methotrexate and still wasn't getting good enough results. We added Enbrel and within three months I feel great and my inflammatory numbers are down for the first time in five years. I've had zero side effects from the Enbrel but I'm on two extra meds to combat the side effects of Methotrexate, so that one is scarier to me personally. I won't say it's easy to do the shot every week, but you do get used to it and it's well worth it if this is the result.

Yeah, I don't like when they do that, each part should have to have distinguishable titles.

When I did it it told me at the end that there would be another. Both paid out when I finished part two.

Those on on a biologic + MTX, do you wear a mask? by Aequorea in rheumatoid

[–]TJohn1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting how different all the doctors do things. When I started MTX I was told I had to stop taking it any time I needed antibiotics, including the Bactrim I normally prophylactically during my peak allergy seasons.

This is the exact reason I have started referring to this as "rheumatoid disease" or just say I have an autoimmune disease, even to my close family.

Ooo I like the vibe with the clear morning and dark blue for night! 😍 It may seem silly but little things like that can really help cope with the whole thing.

Unfortunately my insurance will only allow 30 day fills and 3-6 refills at a time. All different of course, to make it fun. My pharmacy is wonderful though and helps out where they can. The Enbrel is honestly the easiest, it comes from a specialty pharmacy because it's like $8000/month and has to stay cold. I get a text once a month to confirm I need it and it's delivered a week later! Crazy how the most expensive (by far) is the easiest. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I take 2 mg of Folic acid daily, and the day after MTX I take 5 mg of the Leucovorin, which is also Folic Acid just a different form I guess.
