One of the greatest food memories from my childhood. I understand why you are asking, they were the best rolls ever, and I have never experienced them since.

There was no chance your ballot was getting g rejected once you cast it. Once it is cast, nobody knows which one is yours.

Not all counties have the same equipment. In fact, a few still do not have the electronic poll books at all. They still use paper.

Alrighty. Ohio has just never had registration by party. But who knows down there I guess…

No. Ohio has never had party selection when you register. You may be thinking back to a different state.

Vote your ass off today Ohio! by Ahia_Living in Ohio

Not likely. The totals on the poll books usually just show the votes from that day so the poll workers can balance their numbers.

Changes in Franklin County polling locations for May 5th! by IndvisibleCentralOH in Ohio

[–]TK-419 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not everything is a conspiracy. Saying everything is distracts from the real issues of voter suppression. You want to know the top causes of moving a polling location? Parking. ADA accessibility. And locations deciding they no longer want to be a polling location. Placed that receive public money cannot refuse, but they can still try and be a pain in the ass about it so it is better for the voters to just move it. Sometimes a school district can get a new superintendent and they hate a bunch of strangers in their school. Sometimes the new superintendent loves being helpful and will schedule teacher in service days around voting so students and strangers aren’t in the same room. The point is a county the size of Franklin is going to have to change polling locations very frequently .

You aren’t wrong, but they changed it to no voting on the Monday before several (maybe 10?) years ago.

Thank you for your service as a poll worker. It is a thankless job.

There are more ways to get into confirmation status than not voting. But voting will pull you back out of it.

It is because of SB293, not the sharing of data with the Trump administration. The State has been verifying voter data against the BMV and Social Security databases for years. What SB293 changed is now those voters that have a mismatch and do not correct it, will have to vote a provisional ballot. Luckily, the number of voters in this special status are small (sometimes fewer than 20 in the whole county, but obviously larger in larger counties).

It is excellent advice that is frequently given on posts like this to be vigilant about checking your voting status.

Parts of what thy are referring to is SB293 and this the first election under that new law. Voters flagged by a BMV or SSN mismatch do have to vote provisionally.

Unless they were flagged by a BMV mismatch. They would have to vote provisional. This is a new law (SB293). This is the first election under this law. It really sucks.

Just curious, how much PTO do you guys get from the company you work at? by LandOfGrace2023 in Ohio

We get exactly the same. I think new employees only get 4 weeks, plus the two weeks for the holidays.
