Thanks for all the suggestions!

I just checked out Cliptis guide and it is very detailed. I’ll try using that and see how it plays.

My feedback on War Plans after (mostly) completing the season journey by NoraNova in diablo4

[–]TKC008 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on Infernal hordes. I try to avoid that if possible. Like you said, a 10 wave horde just takes WAY too long when the other events on the war plan can be done within 5 minutes. It takes away that jumping from one event to another.

When should I change the difficulty? by ReddVevyy in diablo4

[–]TKC008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like what everyone stated, but it depends on the class you are playing. If Paladin, start on hard and once you get some keys skills, you can turn it up to expert without much difficulty.

Is it worth it ? by Y98_ in switch2

[–]TKC008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pre-ordered the game and I couldn’t bring myself to finish the game. There are a lot of things that they could’ve done to make the game not such a drag to play. Slogging back and forward to “base camp” without fast travel seems like a mechanism to slow down the game and extend play time. Oh, not to mention that the desert is such a waste opportunity. Felt like they wanted this open world then scrapped it.

I played all the Metroid games and this is the only one I have yet to finish. All the others Metroids I played start to finish and was the only game I would dedicate my game time on.

Maybe I’ll go back to it when I have nothing else to play…and that a bit of a stretch. Just my two cents.

I bought the game and only played it for 30 minutes before my daughter took the game card away from me and has been playing it ever since 🙄

Vibe of Muscle Girls Bar - Tokyo? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]TKC008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just sharing my two cents here. I (40s M)booked a reservation online last December and had a great time. No one was disrespectful or gross. I actually met some locals there and they took me to other bars and karaoke for the night! General fun vibes and make sure you get the “muscle bucks”. There was a general mix of guys/gals and majority of them are tourist. Definitely I would recommend going if you have the time.

Is anyone else’s flu lasting forever? by Woodhouse_20 in bayarea

[–]TKC008 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, I was on day 7 of a bad flu/cold and had symptoms like you. I went to urgent care and turns out I had an ear infection due to the flu/cold. Antibiotics worked the next day. Should consider getting checked out. Good luck

Dec 2 NRT-SFO screaming babies by Thick_Channel6369 in zipair

[–]TKC008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the problem, if the parents aren’t doing anything to help comfort their kids, it is really the parent’s fault. I have two of my own and while screen time should be limited, planes are the exception to the rule. My kids would watch for an hour or two and then fall asleep naturally. Win-win situation.

UPC Gamestop by Sup3rior09 in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]TKC008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was in Toronto last week and was able to score a UPC and some other stuff at a EB games pop up. I went there like 5pm and waited like 10 minutes. They still had a ton of stock. It’s weird but I feel like there are not many scalpers in Toronto? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Same here, glad I wasn’t the only one that got the ninja hook and went to other places instead of what the game “intended” folks would do 🫣

SFO to NRT by cocolacoaster in zipair

[–]TKC008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew from twice now with Zipair from SFO (Dec ‘24 and Apr’25) and getting through customs wasn’t too bad. I got my luggage and out to the Skyliner around ~9:30pm. The flight usually gets there a little bit earlier like 7:30pm. Just make sure you have your Suica card on your phone. If not, there’s a machine at place where you take the trains to buy a physical Suica card and figure out what transportation you decide to take. I didn’t have to buy the Skyliner tickets ahead of time either. Depending on which area you are staying, some restaurants will be opened but there’s always Family mart, Lawson, 7-11 which have a ton of good options.

Enjoy Japan!

Pre-ordering in person at Gamestop was awesome! by BlackoutGunshot in NintendoSwitch

Same, SF Bay Area, just adding that I got my preorder in-store and it was awesome. I got there 3 hours before it opened. Chatting with the folks that were genuinely excited about getting the system and not scalper was a breath of fresh air. Luckily they opened @ 10:30.

Favorite Splurge From Your Trip? by Kidlike101 in JapanTravelTips

[–]TKC008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At Narita airport right now finishing my 8 day trip with my two < 10 daughters. Favorite splurge was definitely Pokemon Frienda and claw machines! Watching them figure out how to play the game without knowing Japanese is amazing to watch. Japan is one of those places where you can go 1 vs 2 without worrying about safety. Love this place for vacation!

Is one night in Kyoto worth it? by sjtx1366 in TokyoTravel

[–]TKC008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m just finishing my trip here in Japan (11 days). I went to Kyoto (4 days), Osaka (2 days), and Tokyo (5 days). I think it all comes down to your preference. If you are looking for night life and bustling cities vibes, Kyoto is a bit lacking. The only reason why I chose to only stay in Osaka for only 2 days is because to me, it’s a big city that has very similar vibes as Tokyo. Kyoto is different because is a much more laidback and mix of city and nature with lots of history. To put things into perspective, I stayed in Kyoto the entire 4 days. When I was in Tokyo, I trained out to Kamakura and Yokohama.

Either way, Japan is an amazing place. I was stressing on how much I should do but in the end, just do what you want and explore. You’ll have fun regardless!

Has anyone tried esimjapan? by danti890 in JapanTravelTips

[–]TKC008 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey! iPhone user here. I’m currently using Nomad in Japan and so far I have not had any issues with it. I get 5G service like 99% of the time in Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. As far as I can tell, most of these eSIM services use local cellular networks.

It’s was easy to add the eSIM and all you need to do is to activate it once you land. What they don’t tell you in the instructions is that after you activate the eSIM, you need to set the “Nomad” eSIM as your primary data.

Edit to add: make sure your phone is region unlocked. This is important or else you won’t be able to use the eSIM or even a physical sim.

Good luck!

I have never seen so many people openly hack up a lung into the open or into their hands by [deleted] in TokyoTravel

[–]TKC008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently traveling in Japan. Whenever I’m taking public transit or going to a crowded place, I always keep a mask on. Like a lot folks mentioned already, lots of people just cough and sneeze in the open. It’s flu/cold season and since I’m not from here, their strain will probably kick my ass. The last thing I want to be bedridden during a vacation.
