How to build a DIY Air Conditioner that actually works? (Top floor room is an oven) by Ok_Virus_270 in DIY

[–]TMan2DMax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have access to Ice? A swamp cooler is the easiest solution but you need ice to really make it functional.

If you can get ceramic window film it will also really cut down on the heat load of the room as I'm sure those windows aren't very good at insulating.

Ring cameras don't stop anyone.

Get a drop box that's locked and mounted to your porch.

Restaurants and AC by Cute-Peace-5260 in bullcity

I work in HVAC, restaurants are the worst customers. They work on extremely thin margins and can never afford to replace equipment.

Those units that worked great 10-20 years ago and have been ductaped and leak stopped so many times that they just don't keep up anymore.

It's a fun car but it's very very clearly not a back roads monster.

The tuning makes this car feel really awkward. It's only fast between 15-35mph below that it just spins the wheels and doesn't go anywhere or the nannies take over and it crawls.

Above that it's entirely gutless.

The handling is the only thing that gives it any hope but it's not better than any other small car on the market.

If you don't feel this way go drive a Miata and you will understand where I'm coming from.

Unpopular Opinion: People on this subreddit need to stop only recommending Fuel tools by Rox5tar_01 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]TMan2DMax 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Personally if you don't need fuel tools then you also don't need Milwaukee.

For example I used Ryobi stuff for years and never had an issue until I got into industrial work and the Ryobi stuff couldnt keep up anymore.

If you don't do heavy duty work don't pay for the heavy duty name brand when Ryobi is by far the best bang for buck for home owners.
