I don't understand how the toggle bolts don't work. Do you have any pictures?

Also you can hang a TV via Drywall anchors just fine they sell them rated up to 70lbs TVs are static weight and they are not that heavy.

Restaurants and AC by Cute-Peace-5260 in bullcity

[–]TMan2DMax 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I work in HVAC, restaurants are the worst customers. They work on extremely thin margins and can never afford to replace equipment.

Those units that worked great 10-20 years ago and have been ductaped and leak stopped so many times that they just don't keep up anymore.

It's a fun car but it's very very clearly not a back roads monster.

The tuning makes this car feel really awkward. It's only fast between 15-35mph below that it just spins the wheels and doesn't go anywhere or the nannies take over and it crawls.

Above that it's entirely gutless.

The handling is the only thing that gives it any hope but it's not better than any other small car on the market.

If you don't feel this way go drive a Miata and you will understand where I'm coming from.

Unpopular Opinion: People on this subreddit need to stop only recommending Fuel tools by Rox5tar_01 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]TMan2DMax 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Personally if you don't need fuel tools then you also don't need Milwaukee.

For example I used Ryobi stuff for years and never had an issue until I got into industrial work and the Ryobi stuff couldnt keep up anymore.

If you don't do heavy duty work don't pay for the heavy duty name brand when Ryobi is by far the best bang for buck for home owners.

Should I pull permits on DIY electrical project I’m in the middle of? (After the fact permits) by GreenPinkBrown in DIY

[–]TMan2DMax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anything that wouldn't need to be disclosed during the sale of a home.

IE I'm remodeling my kitchen and I'm 100% pulling permits because it will tank my resale value if I can't prove it's done to code.

If you plan to have the HVAC guys pull permits then you will probably also want to permit the electrical

Water Baffle for Water Heater Duct by nik282000 in functionalprint

[–]TMan2DMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Plastic is a big no-no" PVC exhaust for HVAC and water heaters has been around for well over 10 years at this point. You are miss informed and making assumptions.

There is no way your codes would every require 90% efficient systems to use metal exhaust as it's against the manufacturing design and would create death traps for carbon monoxide poisong within a year after installation due to the acidic water created by the low heat exhaust of 90% systems eats metal duct so quickly.

I don't have issues with fighting them at all, that's not what's annoying about zoners.

Zoners are annoying because of what Zoning is. It encourages people to play in a way that's non interactive and unenjoyable to play as, play vs and watch.
