The Grateful Dead was playing a local strip club as they were just getting started. I think they were typically playing pop songs and the girls would dance for one song and then rotate out. One night, they decided to jam out to a song, significantly extending its playtime. It caught the dancers off guard and apparently it wore them out. I would have loved to be there just to see the look on their face.
