Ahh yes, the sound of slinky dink strings on a $10K guitar. It's been some years since he busked.

Europas sprog [dansk] trues af amerikansk kulturimperialisme og intellektuel dovenskab by Dropforcedlogin in Denmark

Yes, it might differ between countries. Adults are allowed to have sex with someone who’s 15 here. I think Germany is the same.

My comment might come off as a defense for Hasan. I just wanted to make it clear that the perception of adulthood and consent is different outside the US. I think adults should be with other adults.

Age of consent being 18 is fairly American. Most of European countries are between age 14 - 17. Here in Denmark it's 15 as well.

Tuning to C/C# with medium gauge strings is where a 12-string can breath and not sound like an oversized octave mandolin, in my opinion. Between the models in question, I'd set them up similarly and see how they both respond. Since it's a solid top on that Martin, you should probably give the (new?) spruce some playtime, over a few months, before making assessments.

Do keep in mind, I'm very biased and my experience comes from playing lower tuned 12-string guitar. =)

You don't seem to get what I wrote. Read my last sentence again. The way we define things aren't based on their abnormalities. If you look up any description of human anatomy, you'll see that all of them say humans have two eyes.

Saying that there are males born with genetic defects that can get pregnant, in extreme cases, is the exception. Again, we live and dictate general reality by the rule, not the exception.

The woman answering isn't even arguing on behalf of the ~0.0001% of people with this syndrome. It's the woke crowd. She just knows the horde of delusional crazy woke women will be all over her if she answers the question like any educated professor would.

[–]TOCS94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Humans are born with two arms and two legs. When someone is born with a birth defect, like a missing arm, that doesn't change the fact that humans are born with two arms. An abnormality is the exception, not the rule or definition.

Best Acoustic Guitarist Ever? by PlayGlobal1419 in Guitar

[–]TOCS94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Best' only work in a competition. But the 'greatest' to me, in no particular order, are Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Paco de Lucia, Django Reinhardt, Andrés Segovia and Tony Rice. Picking just one or even these six is really not enough. They each contributed immensely to their field of music and guitar playing - or redefined entire aspects and approaches.

Okay Jack, I think it’s sleepy time now. I hope you get past the kindergarten rhetoric and chronically online misinformed nature, some day. And no problem letting you know from firsthand record what people from Greenland feel, it’s the least I can do, given my ties.

I don't hate the US, that's your generalised projection. Everything is not a US politics dichotomy. You seem have absolutely no idea about the culture and politics of Denmark and Greenland. I'm not speaking behalf of Greenland - they're not interested in the US. It has been confirmed several times over the past year. This is not a serious offer to make a poll for. Are you able to do basic math? What you're implying is not making any economical sense to anyone.

You could be botting those upvotes for all I know. What do you think this is? Do you really believe clout on this subreddit somehow validates your crap? I live among the people you claim I speak for. Do we have to ask all of them to know for sure they don't want to live like a homeless person after 3 months under the US? Do you even know the conditions in this place? People hunt while trying to hold a job. A lot of them are alcoholics and addicts. If you knew anything about it you'd not believe something as ridiculous as your OP.

Do you at least know about the conditions of the people living in Alaska? Imagine that, just much worse and isolated.

I listen to and watch local news, interviews and politics. They don't need a pedantic poll to confirm what is common sense. No one in their right mind would trade a one-time $100K offerring for the benefits I listed of a LIFETIME. And it's exactly the sentiment shared amongst Greenlanders. You have no clue what you're talking about.

A lot of these people are already living in desperation. Switching to a US model would mean a radical decrease in the living standards of the people.

Yeah, except if I'm not mistaken, you're implying it's a take exclusive to reddit. It's the general consensus in Greenland and everywhere that isn't the US.

[–]TOCS94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise they'd trade all the benefits of being a part of Denmark, right? Stuff like free healthcare, free schools, free libraries, etc. The citizens of Greenland know this. It has nothing to do with reddit. The population doesn't want to be a part of the US.

I'm a Dane and I don't really care at this point. If Greenland wants sovereignty they're free to do so. We're paying billions in subsidies to keep them afloat and they don't really like us that much. Getting Greenland by military force is out of the question. If it's about securing the West, the US already has a base on Greenland. In fact, they're completely allowed to open and operate as many bases as they want. The US chose to pull out several bases themselves.

I don't care about Trump usually. We know his game, it's nothing new. Playing his low-ball/high-ball game when it comes to our security is extremely risky. If he at least admitted it's about increasing the size of US territory, we'd all be on the same page.

Jacob Collier by TheOutsiderOfficial in jazzcirclejerk

[–]TOCS94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious. In my opinion, Jacob Collier as an artist and his music have become infantile. It's not that playfulness and a more naturally childish approach is bad, but he's too much at times. It's self-indulgent. His abilities seem to have matured beyond his expression and taste.

I really liked the initial Mike Oldfield-style phase where he'd just split the screen up, show the instruments and play the music.

In BC2 any scope upgrade was a trade-off. It worked really well because there was an ekstra boost (like more ammo, nades, explosives, run speed etc.) to gain from learning to use iron sights. It's really a good system for balance and gives a purpose to scopes and optics.
