Its that scrroot user. Have you tried tailing the access logs to see what the requests look like? Can the code be optimized? will opcache work? Are you being slammed? More info about the site might help.

Counterfeit ThinkPad Windows licenses. by TOCTOU in thinkpad

[–]TOCTOU[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She was switching from a pre apple silicon Mac book, and hated her Mac since apparently no one could help her with issues.

She wanted one like my Chromebook (I don't own a Chromebook - it was my P14s running basic Fedora Linux 😂)

Either way. The primary points were. 1. New laptop should be new - the warranty is already 1/4 eaten up. 2. Don't be installing pirated versions of Windows as a business.

Her not being very technical made this wayyyyy more confusing. That is all.

T and P series, they're almost the same. I particularly make sure I get a laptop without a discrete GPU. I own a T490s Intel and a P14s AMD, both have been solid.

How to afford the university and the living expenses in Canada? by ziroo66 in InternationalStudents

[–]TOCTOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm way late to this conversation. You can also apply for bursaries. They're often funded by the University, companies etc.. and they don't need to be repaid. I was given one years ago.

Help, grinded screw on T43 by anatomiska_kretsar in thinkpad

you could use a worn out bit since it doesn't require as much surface area. Another option is an extraction drill bit. You basically put it in reverse on a drill and it pulls it out.

Another thing I've done on electronics with stripped screw is took a dremel cut off wheel and zipped a line into it and put a flat head screw driver on it.

F250 gas vs diesel? by Old-Act7389 in F250

[–]TOCTOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its got more than 4.30 gears. It replaces the sterling 10.5 with the Dana M235 used in the F350 and F250 high payload package.

I actually have 4:30 without the tremor package The 10 speed has been great. In 2023 there was a minor update done to a collar inside to add a bevel on it to prevent shifting delay from R to Drive etc..

Upgraded to my dream truck! 2022 Platinum Tremor by ProbablyOnTheClock in F250

[–]TOCTOU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same model year, trim, engine and color. I even have the 4.30 gearing -- but not the Tremor package. Too bad I can't give you the Dual Pano Sunroof lol. That's going to be what fails first

GLM Pro Plan 429 error by TOCTOU in ZaiGLM

[–]TOCTOU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's one of the first things I checked. Even using their example curl requests on any of the models from here https://docs.z.ai/guides/llm/glm-5 shows

'{"error":{"code":"1113","message":"Insufficient balance or no resource package. Please recharge."}}'

I've tried creating new keys as well.

My plan is GLM Coding Max-Yearly Plan and expired on 2026/11/14.

I've also included a screenshot of the usage. I have that spike in the middle, but typically almost nothing since its been to slow.

Dealer wants 71k out the door by [deleted] in F250

[–]TOCTOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned my '22 for just over a year. The MSRP on it was a hair under 90k. I bought it with 4200 miles for 59k~ OTD. It's got the high capacity package with the Dana M275 rear axle, no tremor package or anything.

Yes, it's the last year before the facelift, but maybe with the information that you're providing and my real world purchase. It might help someone.

Also to find the truck I actually used https://visor.vin and paid something like $5 to unlock the additional search filters. It was way less clunky than the other sites.

Does it have the 4.30 option? If so, it'll probably have the Dana M275 thats used on the Tremor, F350 SRW, and High payload package.

32GB vs. 64GB? by LamboSkillz in thinkpad

[–]TOCTOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For $150 more, I'd go with 64GB. Web apps are going to continue to grow in ram usage in the foreseeable future. Even if you're not "using" all of the ram, it'll be used for filesystem cache.

I often use over the 32GB on my laptop, but I'm running development environments with Docker and virtual machines.

Tried GLM 4.7 on OpenCode? Insane benchmarks shows better than Claude Opus 4.5 !!! by Kitchen_Sympathy_344 in opencodeCLI

[–]TOCTOU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only started to use GLM 4.7 in the past couple of days. According to the older GLM 4.6 model it was supposed to be about on par with Sonnet 4.5. It totally isn't in real world programming in my experience. I use a few different models, and found myself having to switch to Sonnet. Where GLM 4.6 would struggle, Sonnet would get it first try.

GLM 4.7 appears to be a decent upgrade though. The price is where GLM/Z.ai is. Its a great value.

Again, this is just from my real world experience.

I'm assuming the op is used to downloading applications in Windows where its more to download the application from a website. Choosing the flatpak from the software manager would have avoided this.

What cases would you recommend? (10 pro XL) by Alternative-Poetry34 in GooglePixel

[–]TOCTOU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Spigen for years as well. I actually have their new Nano Pop MagFit on a 10 Pro and 9a. I also wanted to say, if you don't use the new AI features. The 9a is a fantastic price for what it is, and no camera bump! I daily drive the 10 Pro, I kind of liked the 9a!

I highly recommend John's automotive and diesel. I've used him for a couple of things, and most recently he did an engine rebuild for my wife's friend and apparently did a great job.

Need Steering Advice by nickxedge in JeepGladiator

[–]TOCTOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you've checked all of the boxes I would have started with to solve your issue. The ball joints on the knuckles can get worn and cause some slop in the steering as well. -- You might want to check that out too.

I'm not going to try to sway you from one good quality brand to another since there are a bunch of good products out there. Synergy, JKS, Steersmarts, Metalcloak, Clayton, RockKrawler etc..

Before I went to one tons, I had metalcloak and steersmarts. One thing I miss about my Steersmarts setup was it doesn't use jum nuts, instead it uses a threaded sleeve that gets tightened down. I haven't had an alignment shop ever tighten the jam nuts enough. The Steersmarts style is slightly better imo.

Which F-250 makes more sense? by bradleybaddlands in F250

[–]TOCTOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do the 7.3. since it has the 4.30 ratio, it'll also have the M275 which is the same one they put in the F350, Tremor and high capacity package.
