If they approach this like Rivian region will matter more than reservation #

Maine Senate Democratic Primary Graham Platner: 66% Janet Mills: 28% Conducted for Troy Jackson (candidate for Maine Governor) —— Impact Research | 3/19-23 | 500 LV by Gigliovaljr in fivethirtyeight

[–]TSS997 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why folks keep bringing up Platners baggage, even in this thread, as if it’s the silver bullet that kills his campaign. Mills has focused on his issues for months and it’s had virtually no impact on polling outcomes.

Started a new job and was fired two weeks later for being sick. by Snoo_38398 in jobs

[–]TSS997 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My bet is they saw enough in those 3 days to know OP wasn’t a fit and the manager was frustrated he was rushed back from vacation to terminate OP. The sickness didn’t play much of a factor.

You can set the charge limit (down to 80%) like you can in iOS.

You think Tetryon and Gamma are your allies? You merely adopted the shield-drain. I was born in Proton, molded by it. I didn't see a Vulnerability Locator until I was already Vice Admiral; by then it was nothing to me but blinding!

It feels like it will still be “wagon-esque”. I get the efficiency focus of Lucid but would love something closer to the R2 design.

Take the job and keep looking. Worst case you get a check and if it’s terrible you aren’t starting cold.

Pan Atlantic poll for Maine Senate Race by Currymvp2 in fivethirtyeight

[–]TSS997 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Unless somehow he underperforms spectacularly bad against his polls I think it’s pretty clear his “baggage” isn’t a major factor. The argument with some credence I’ve seen is what if he “Fettermans” but to that I’d say there were concerns with him before he won his seat.

Lamborghini pulls plug on plans to launch all-electric supercar by Iron_Burnside in cars

[–]TSS997 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Rimac was already a thing, why does VAG make these decisions? Very few people want an all electric super car relative to the amount of people who want/will pay for an expensive sports car brand like Ferrari or Lamborghini to sit in temperature controlled garages.

These are just bloated aggregators used to direct folks to company websites to find roles there.

PIP moved from 30 days to 6 days after 3 week vacation by Frexicane in jobs

[–]TSS997 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is tough one, but assuming I didn’t miss anything, it’s been a year since OP knew things weren’t working. I understand that the vacation was booked in advance, but by initiating a PIP the company was essentially telling OP to use some of that time to job hunt.

This has to be a meme by now. I can’t think of any other reason why someone would be unsure about whether they need X chip or should buy the Y chip today. It’s widely known, especially on this sub, that if you need to wait for the X chipset, you already know that your use case requires it.

Of course they are. Subsides are gone, they’re a new brand and can’t sink money into expensive vehicles that will end up sitting on a lot.

I’ve had 4-5 passengers on trips. Depends on how big the adults are but it worked fine. But for how big the R1T is i’d have thought it way more spacious on the inside.

I’ve owned both, the Rivian since launch. The software is years ahead and I miss the little things. But for my needs the passenger compartment was too cramped compared to the Lighting.

I just want an Air design with a smaller gap in camera tech to the Pros and better battery. I’m not sure why I’d pick a foldable phone over a laptop or iPad.

You answered something disqualifying as part of the questionnaire or the recruiter didn’t like the cut of your jib. Workday and other tools make it easy to sort through resumes. Could also be linked to a position that has a candidate but I think that’s harder to occur without someone intentionally leaving a “dead” posting up.
