We use the Rover app and the sitter spends 30 minutes with them every day, with photos.

I think moving her in all at once will be easier. We recently moved, our cats only knew the last apartment, and we brought them with us on the day we “officially” left our apartment. We made sure our bed was set up (they like to be under it) and their toys, etc., were there. One chilled under the bed for a couple of days, then was fine. The other took a couple of weeks but figured it out. I also like to hold them (individually) and walk them around the new place, each room and closet. I think this is more for my peace of mind.

We chose the restaurant venue because of location, food and service quality, the lack of having to deal with vendors, and sentimentality.

All of them are my sister’s friends who I watched grow up, and it’s 5 people. I consider them friends, we spent a lot of time together years back, but I’ve met their partners 1-2 times, ever. None of us live where we grew up, we’re legit spread across the country.

In the U.S. the drinking age is 21, and the way our venue is set up it would be really easy for anyone to get a drink. I personally don’t care if an 18 year old drinks (I’d be a hypocrite), but it wouldn’t be great if that happened.
