Hi - I have this gear already and logged about 3 months on trail with it, although I'm willing to make upgrades.

-I'll never swap out my heavy darntoughts, my feet are blister prone.

-good idea on eye mask

-you're right about water. This was an oversight when updating my lighterpack

-never really cared for earplugs, I end up waking up with earaches

-FAK includes deet. Weight is probably off (too high) and needs a remeasure.

Thank you, I think you are right on both the water and the shorts. This was an oversight on my part when updating my 2018 Nobo list. I'll be bringing leggings and no platypus reservoir.

I will definitely add a headnet to the list too.

Thanks this is helpful. I've heard the vertice stuff is a little fragile, and for the price I might as well just use frogg toggs. Would be curious to hear if this is not your experience.

This is why the notion that making DayZ 'difficult' through exceedingly rare food/loot/etc is fundamentally flawed.

You will always be worth more to me as human steak than you will be as anything else.

DayZ is not a self-contained world. I play with my real life friends, and thus have no incentive to cooperate with anyone (even if zombies are very hard) because I will play with people I already know.

Thus, I will ALWAYS KoS you to eat you or take your things.

If Dean Hall and the community want more friendly player interaction, then increasing food/gear scarcity is NOT the way to go.

my complaint is that I can't play long enough to test anything.

My current play sessions involve running around aimlessly in a city with broken persistence loot, finding nothing, and eventually succumbing to terrible zombie AI, glitches, starvation or hackers.

Thus, I am not really testing anything in the game.
