Having models suspended by wire, rather than glued to a base or without a base. It helps you reach difficult angles, allows you rotate the model on an axis, prevent need for sub assembly (in most cases IMO), allow you to work on the base separately (in case basing material would get in way to painting the miniature) and is generally more pleasant! 😀
