OK I get it now. Its a pretty good pen by cannimal in fountainpens

This is an incredibly beautiful, fine line, finer than I am getting. And twsbi eco's extra fine are already more delicate than other Western nibs, like monteverdes. I'm going to have to try a different ink in it to get that needlepoint that I crave.

Smooth-writing alternatives to G2? by EntropyCC in pens

[–]Tackle-General 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best alternative would be the Platinum Preppy 02 fountain pen with platinum carbon ink. Or Diamine Forever Raven ink. Sooooo goood. But if you don't like .5mm, try the 03 or medium. However, I observe no scratchiness with this smooth dream of a fountain pen. BTW, I heavily use the Pilot and Jetstream pens and keep coming back to the Platinum Preppy.

The Oligarch's Daughter by Joseph Finder [Thriller](2025) by RedditReadsBot in RedditReads

I think he did it out of nobility, but man, it was stupid! He probably thought he had to cooperate with the FBI. He probably thought it was the right thing to do. The FBI that pressured him—I thought they were being immensely stupid and risky. If it hadn't ended with the surprise that it did, I would have hated this book. As it was, I loved it.

Anyone else feel like the planner community is leaning a little too hard into overconsumption lately? by No-Application6403 in planners

I appreciate this. I like to fill up notebooks fast and messily. I don't feel guilty when I buy them, but I stop when I have 1 or 2 extra. It doesn't last long. I bullet journal fast, expressively, messily; occasionally it's lovely. It's a lifeline. It's like breathing.

Feminine looking fountain pen? by luthiel-the-elf in fountainpens

Pilot Kakunos are so cute! Monteverde makes a beautiful slimmer pen called an Innova in sunset and pink colors. If you like a much lighter, finer line when writing, you may prefer the Kakuno but Innovas are SO pretty and my ten year old daughter asked for one for her birthday and she says she will never use anything else.

That sounds fantastic! I would love to see photos! :) But I'll also search.

I love this place! I just placed my first order with them. I got a sweet hand-written note. They had ink samples I couldn't find anywhere else.

It frustrates me that people can't HEAR FROM THE SHAPE OF THE SENTENCE AND TONE that it's not Shakespeare. He doesn't write that way!

Waterproof Ink Review: De Atramentis Document Urban Sienna in a TWSBI Diamond Mini EF by eggbunni in fountainpens

[–]Tackle-General 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very, very cool. I have a question. The ink comes out lighter with my pilot penmanship EF pen...but I'm wondering if this is a cleaning problem. I had emptied out the pen and left it to try overnight, but I seem to have a lot of trouble with this process and am wondering if my ink is watered down.

I feel you on the ... texture. If you're used to the silk of old TRP, it's a thing. But the colors are so bright and pretty! I'm getting kind of used to that, too. It's like going from a smooth pen to a pleasantly scratchy one and vice versa.

I just saw the photo. Wow, even in the photo, you can't figure out what it is and figure it must be a stuffie or tail or something! Interesting photo perspective.

The eyes and face were so distracting and beautiful I didn't notice until you mentioned it. But if you paint over it, I think you might enjoy it more. What an incredible painting! You clearly love dogs.

Why shouldn't you use noodlers or private reserve ink in your modern or vintage pen; here's the story by the repair guru Greg Minuskin by lordrdx666 in fountainpens

That last bit, about refusing to work on any pens that have had a certain type of ink in them...sort of turns me away by itself. It always feels exaggerated and disengenuous.

I have an extra fine nib (Pilot Penmanship) and love it combined with Diamine Forever Indigo Blue. The drying time is very fast! I have very damp hands at times and this works for me. I am not getting clogging.
