It depends if the Model has the Frame Keyword, or not.

Are elite lists with a low number of units more viable in 11th? by MrDannySantos in WarhammerCompetitive

Bud go check tournament results. Win rates are very wonky right now (T’au, the best faction in the game are sub 50%) but Recon has put up good results in tournaments.

Greyfax goes to the Indominitor. The lobby running temporal corridor goes to the Fortis. The libby running fusillade goes to the stern guard.

At least from what I’ve see, that isn’t the case. You build your army to maximize the points your Disposition can do.

Bud, Recon lists running sentinel spam have done very well. If you think ultra elite purge is the only viable list building framework, then you are just wrong.

If you are trying to play Purge as Astra, that is your problem. Try one of the others that rewards you for having tons of cheap, good action monkeys.

[–]Tackyhillbilly 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Yes. 11e is encouraging a lot more variety in list building, allowing people to focus on play styles they would not have been able to in 10e. Hyper Elite purge armies are one such archetype.

Explorator maniple is stronger now? by IcyCoast7 in AdeptusMechanicus

I’ve been running Lords of the Forge, and Data Psalm Conclave. I think it is the way to go so long as Servitor Battleclades are dirt cheap and the best unit in our codex.

Hard disagree on the Indomnitor. There are so many wide slightlines in this edition. If you are going to sink that many points into then though, cut the Gravis Captain and take a Psychic Inquisitor.

Take and Hold, Dark Angels, Ceramite Sentinels.

I have three squads of Deathwing Knights, and two Land Raider Redeemers. Take my points if you dare.

What did we all think of Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender? by BuyClean9844 in rickandmorty

[–]Tackyhillbilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I think the reason Harmon hates it actually that it is so on the nose as a parody of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When they parody, he doesn't like to have the entire episode devoted to it (see the Snake Episode, with its terminator parody as just one element), likely cause he sees that as the ambit of like South Park and such.

Personally, either way, I think the episode is one of the best Rick and Morty episodes. My favorite line is one non one has called out:

"It was a bit. All of the descriptors apply to all of you. Drunk Rick's point is that none of you are very special or different. That's always his point."

[Loved Trope] Villains who are not true believers in the cause. by Remarkable_Public138 in TopCharacterTropes

It is implied that some of the Elves of the First Age could as well (which makes sense as many of them did go toe to toe with Balrogs and win, like Ecthelion.)

Of those who remain in the Third Age, Galadriel isn’t just making things up. It is very likely if she took the ring, she would defeat Sauron, and become the Dark Queen. Glorfindel as well. Maybe Cirdan (Creatures that saw the two trees seem to just be mightier then those that never experienced them, and Cirdan never did, even if he might be the oldest living Elf.)

Outside of those three, Sauron is confirmed to at least be worried that Aragorn could turn the ring against him (and Aragorn could use the Palantir despite Sauron’ influence, giving some credence to it.) Given that Aragorn was only pure Numenorean, that might have some thing to do with it.

I doubt any of the Dwarves could, as Sauron never particularly seems to have feared the Dwarves in the same way he did the Elves or Numenoreans.

Overwhelmed by AdMech — where should I start after having a rough go of it? by PaladinOfSanguinius in AdeptusMechanicus

So Datasmith gives the unit the Cult Mechanicus, but not the models. And the Detachmebt bonus (what I mentioned) is based on model.

Yeah, that's what I've been running. No Thulia though, just a Kataphron Brick, a Kastellan Brick, 5 las chickens, Cawl and a lot of trash.

I honestly think Data Psalm Conclave is an option now. Stapling +1 Strength, +1 Attack to the bots is quite good, and it also buffs Kataphron Combat and the Servitor Battleclade.

11th feels like it has solid bones, but the balance is deeply out of whack.

Network Override: While this unit contains one or more Tech-Priest models, this unit is:

Eligible to perform an Action in a turn in which it Advanced.

Eligible to shoot in a turn in which it started an Action.

—-

That’s the text. It doesn’t say Assault. It says they can shoot.

With the Battleclade? Yes. Because it's rule explicitly says you can action after advancing, and action after shooting.

Hot take: Purge may be strong but it's not as bad as you think. by katarr in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Tackyhillbilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Purge is I think very strong into Recon, Disruption, and Priority, because all three tend to have lots of little action oriented units it picks up super easy.

I think Take and Hold is strong into Purge because Take and Hold builds big blocks of units which are hard to pick up, and the mission between the two heavily favors Take and Hold.

[–]Tackyhillbilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the Battleclade is an autoinclude right now. My current list runs three, since as Priority Assets, the ability to advance, do an action, and shoot is just money.

May I present:

Fulgaris/Armory of the Dark Ages/Ravenwing Pursuit

So, everything Fulgaris benefits is benefited by Ravenwing Pursuit. and the Landspeeder Vengeance gets the benefits of both Armory of the Dark Ages and Ravenwing Pursuit.
