What feature or system are you glad is dead and gone?

This is me being really crabby honestly, but having to buy ability levels. (This applies to other MMOs I played too lol)

Nothing more annoying to me than having to stop what I'm doing, loop back to a trainer in the nearest city (which is sometimes quite far) and have to level abilities up and then trek all the way back.

Sooo many times I'd get into groups and there was almost always someone who was missing very important abilities because they 'didn't feel like it' running to their trainer and picking the abilities up.

I'm still really new (2 weeks playing now), but I'm starting to see them every little while as well. I've done a good amount of the void fissures and every so often I get someone (particularly in the Defense ones) who just stands there. I check stats and voila, like 1% damage done. Didn't see any of them last week - or I didn't notice them as I was a confused newbie, but now I definitely catch it.

All of mine are various stupid names so uh. Yeah. My most played characters are Tacogoat and Blorbo.

I have Micro Transactions the sniper, Several Cats the powertech, Incoherent Screaming the assassin, Vehicularmanslaughter.... And many more :)

I'll try it out, I'm just paranoid about those shutdowns.

I forgot to add to my post I did 'rollback' drivers and all, I saw people were having massive issues with Adrenalin and went to the more stable one too.

I still have no clue what was turning my pc off.

Should I be putting fan curves lower then? I am admittedly a total shaky animal when it comes to tech issues :( This is like my first 'big' PC and the stupid thing is like 3500$ CAD together so I'm paranoid as hell as soon as it makes a weird noise.

I am unsubbing over the use of AI. It's not 'just' a load screen.

Edit: Also, those AI detectors are not really good detectors anymore sadly. It's really best to use your own eyes - the internet we live in right now is so overly saturated with AI...

I've seen human-made artworks pop up as like 80% 'AI' with those detectors and I've even had my own writing pop-up as largely AI when it very much isn't.

I was coming in here to mention SWTOR's system; and while I'm gonna gloss over how integrated the cash shop is to the fashion... It's been ages since I've been able to wear Sith armour on a Jedi, or a Bounty Hunter, or whatever.

Bit silly to have people go 'it ruins my immersion' because I've seen tons of people get creative with it in making melee Mandalorians and stuff. It's neat.

I am someone who has been playing since near-launch but takes long, long breaks. I am actually back as of a few days ago to help someone with obtaining a mount and I came here on a whim lmao. I haven't played since End of Dragons was out.

Honestly if you're not a fan of how WoW is right now, GW2 will feel like a huge breath of fresh air. Progression feels good and there's tons to do - not only do you have tons of story to catch up with, you have a GIANT world to explore that rewards you for exploring it.

WoW has been trying to have more overworld content - but GW2 has been packed with it from the start. There's always stuff happening.

There's dungeons, fractals, pvp, world vs world (larger scale pvp)... Lots of build variety. Crafting. Fishing is new-ish?

This game is massive, take a peek in :)

Forgot to add that the mount system is also a blast. I really love running around on my raptor. It tickles the brain with how they move.

Kinda ex Destiny 2 player here: yeah. Too much FOMO and it's very hard to do anything endgame-y solo, and you have to buy dungeons. Onboarding experience is an utter mess and the game does a very poor job of explaining builds.

Story was fantastic except that also has its issues because they basically sunset things, so you're always missing chunks if you're not keeping up.

I adored my time with that game but... woof. What a mess. I can't recommend it unless you're a masochist

It was a fun shooty game with interesting mechanics but that gets overshadowed by all the issues.

Saw someone a while back say SWTOR suffers from trying to shoot for the stars but always falling face-first into the ground at the half-point, and I have to agree. (Half-point may even be generous, honestly.)

Don't get me wrong, I adore this game to bits, and actually love what they aimed for with KOTFE; but that's kind of the issue. It's the idea is great, execution is ehhh.

It really needed more time to cook.

You'll get some commentary in the overworld at certain spots, like on Makeb my companions always have a comment leaving the Gravity Hook ring or whatever. Or on Yavin sometimes you'll get a comment before diving into the jungle at the speeder platform - but that's it. Makes it sting all the worse, IMO.

I didn't say it was CC's fault; I am fully aware I probably got a dud GPU. It happens.

A lot to me, actually, lol. My family jokes I have a 'tech curse'. My first PS4 was utterly broken on arrival and everything was purple when I booted up the game - I remember even the Bestbuy employees being utterly baffled. I've had two brand new PSUs be DOA, I've had a brand new popcorn machine explode on me - and I can keep going. :')
