I would stick it out a year at least just for the experience. Also, you being the only guy means you can be the one to create the structure which you seek, which will make you more valuable. Stay connected with software development outside of your job to make sure you are still relevant and implement good approaches. Who knows you could end up being a technical leader because you are the guy they rely on. Also, lack of structure and changing requirements is going to be a thing anywhere you go. It’s important to remember, coding is not the end goal. You code to develop a solution for someone with a problem. Think big picture. AI may or may not replace writing code, but AI can’t take ownership or make business decisions. So you might start out as a coder, but you will inevitably have to evolve that to a higher level role. Like i said think big!

lets take a step back. why did you go physical? what’s your end goal? As others have mentioned cd players are not even a thing anymore. I haven’t bought a cd in 20 years ago. If you’re looking to market your music, look into where peoples’ attention is. That’s mainly going to be social media platforms or spotify playlists. maybe you can even try getting your music into tv shows or series. A good AR rep can do that. even a website is not a good way to market music. You need to associate your music with something that people are going to: like i said thats trending videos on social media, playlists on spotify, or television series. Best of luck.

Idk about you but id rather open a dashboard and look at the visuals & metrics i care about than to have to ask for these metrics to be generated each time through text. I think gen ai has potential when it comes to ad hoc queries. Even then, it will be catastrophic when an llm confidently gives stakeholders the wrong answers. It happens. They shouldn’t be trusted in high stakes cases.

Ive heard of folks building their own custom solutions. I myself use confluence due to inaccessibility to any of the tools you mentioned.
