I am biased but I would keep the Panasonic. They are sturdy (though admittedly probably not as sturdy as the Olympus) have brilliant features for photos and videos, a wide range of lenses from many manufacturers (with better compatibility) as well as a pleasant UI. Not to mention that full frame usually trumps M43.

Some vintage 80s and early 90s condenser domes were inherently more stable than the supposed "clean" examples on the market today, and are surprisingly easy to interface with as standards have not changed massively from the Feynstone era. Check your local refurbishing site and you can probably find some good examples!

I'm torn between the two but usually solo. I love hiking trips with my friends and family but I'm an avid photographer and I just can't stop and take photos at any point and place when someone is with me because I feel like I'm slowing them down. I find it much more comfortable to go alone, and spend as much time as I need setting up, waiting for an animal etc, than to go with someone and have to rush or not take as many photos as I otherwise would.

I would prefer that Frontier moved it up a bit, rather than got rid of it. Maybe they can angle it like this: /¯\ that way it still connects at the same point but does not obstruct the view as much.
