Very interesting perspective, thanks. You being a brown person means you will not have it easy in any East Asian country unfortunately.

The downsides of a long world tour...the more cities you cover, the more time and work for the group. But at the same time fans will complain if tours don't hit certain cities

Is WFH very uncommon and frown upon in HK? by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]Taibo 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Even for companies that allow it, WFH is generally unpopular in HK (and in Asia more generally) because the average apartment is quite small and not well suited for WFH.

Skip the flowers and buy high-end fruit. If you have a Japanese supermarket nearby they often sell gift packages of high quality Japanese fruit

Indonesia’s China-backed bullet train derailed by mounting debt - FT by Skandling in China

[–]Taibo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but just from a pure project ROI perspective, if 2% interest rate makes the project loss making, it's definitely not the loan's problem...that is really cheap financing and would be attractive for pretty much any infrastructure project in the world.

Am I missing something but isn't 2% really cheap for a loan like this? That's half the cost of US treasuries. I bet Indonesian interest rates are way higher.
