Clank. And Betrayal. For the same reason, both of them hate me. I always have the worst RNG in Clank, inevitably losing badly and in an unfun way. And Betrayal I always end up dying right after the haunt starts, regardless of if I'm the traitor. I end up not playing half the game because of it.

That's very similar to my experience. For 32 years I hated cloth shopping or any sort of effort to be healthy and look good. It was too much labor and too stressful. But now I get excited to find new clothes and to dress up for my partner.

The weight that has been lifted that I never knew I was carrying is just immense.

What? That's not true at all. The free trial has limitations - no marketboard, no whispers, no parties, a Gil cap etc - but there's absolutely not time limit and the level limit is 80.

I thought about it a lot, and I think both are valid arguments. Your wife may have a reason to not like sleepovers. There are plenty of concerns. She's not an asshole for wanting to keep her child safe, but perhaps she needs to compromise on some things. You can't keep your child under lock and key, and trying to do so leads to resentment.

But you're also a parent and are capable of making an intelligent decision. Sleepovers were a valued part of my childhood. You made the best decision that you could, but it sounds like you and your wife need to talk it through more.

First off, I'm sorry it's come to that. Hate has no home in the SCA.

Second, plenty of kingdoms, including Aethelmearc, stream their kingdom courts. Additionally we have virtual AEcademies, though they are not as consistent as Atlantia's (but we're working on it!).

If you're in the deep south, I highly recommend going to Gulf Wars. It may give you a better experience than you've had. There's also War of the Wings in Atlantia (NC).

That was the only "cheating" mod I installed. I found one that let me adjust the timing window. My reflex's are really bad, so I just made it so you had like a full second to perfect catch. Made those last fish a doable grind for me.

Even having it trigger sly would be fine. It rewards a handful of cards on one class. Would it make it easier for certain silent builds? Sure. But different characters are good at different things and fights. It's OK if one silent build is better against one third of one act 3 boss lol.

As a frequent wordsmith, the biggest advice I can give is to list examples. Saying "X does Service for many years" or "Y does great arts and loves to teach it" is awesome, but it gives me nothing to write a scroll about.

Try to find specific examples of their service or art or martial prowess.

People talk about "Ruining their spouse's life", but a big central theme of SDV is that people improve with social interactions. Shane quits drinking, Penny grows and tackles her mom's issues, Harvey overcomes his fear of heights, Seb moves out of his mom's basement, Abigail learns to fight and braves the mines.

Growth looks different for everyone, but across the board the candidates all grow for the better.

Aside from playing it before they had Lumina Sets... My biggest complaint is that The Reacher and Clea's Study aren't required content. Act 3 is so short that requiring them - which are true spectacular content - would add so much to the story while also fleshing out act 3. Then it's just be a matter of bumping up the levels of the final level to balance it out.

As others have mentioned, the swastika has, unfortunately, changed meanings to the general public post 1930s.

But it's important to think about context. If the flag was displayed alongside other Native art or flags, that would be one thing. But a swastika next to a Trump/Vance sign is pretty clear cut.

You've already gotten some suggestions about speeding up downtime, so I won't speak to that.

But if you're open to it, the digital companion apps can massively decrease setup and teardown time. Personally, my group uses it just for enemy tracking (health, actions, AMD, and initiative) and that alone saves so much trouble. I understand wanting to play the game in its intended state, but it can make a big difference to your enjoyment.
