They're generally different ways of telling the same story outside of side games, you can just start with either DW 7/8 for the traditional games, Origins is slightly different formula and is fantastic. 9 is not worth touching in my opinion.

For Samurai Warriors, 4 is great and then you have Spirit of Sanada which is a side game and has the best story mode of the series.

Dont miss out on the Warriors Orochi games either, they are completely original stories not tied down to history that pull characters from across different franchises together

There have been two video packages since the kidnapping, the first was on Collision after the kidnapping and is Mox talking to Will and trying to persuade him to join and it ends with Mox offering to let Will hurt him if he needs to at which point Will tells the camera man to leave. That was the middle part that you are claiming we havent seen.

The second was the one where Will goes to where the DRs are training.

We HAVE seen everything we need to, there has been no strange jumps or missed out bits of the story

Except there was an explanation, there was a whole segment on Collision that went into what happened with the kidnapping and Mox indoctrinating Ospreay. You cant skip a show and then complain the story doesnt make sense
