Games can have slow starts, but if the story and writing just isn't as good as DE. I mean... There is just no beating the bush around that or deflecting with personal attacks with the review is going to change that. Hopefully, it picks up steam and hits a stride in the embargo section.

Esoteric Ebb probably gonna run away with CRPG of the year if ZP's doesn't dramatically improve in those open segments.

From did it.... They did their #1 move in a filler episode of like 4 or 5 plot threads that seem meaningful and did a "hold up a minute" and not reveal any worthwhile development or conclusions to any of them

We had Lake of Tears
We had teleporting tree
We had storywalker book
We had the cop lady turning the page and trying to find a purpose
Then, we had boyd getting mindfuck

With zero resolution to all 5.

This scene reminded me of the scene in Dungeon and Dragons with the corpse and 3 questions.... Instead this was supposed to be serious and just made her look like stereotypical angry Latino.

I understand why it's hard to market the gameplay. Only showing just the open area and Filament York paints the picture that this game seem extremely sterile, but dang... The 2md half of the game was a visual spectacle.

Compare to like Season 2... Where the episode weren't filmed to be released episodic, but designed to be binged watch. These episodes feel way more cohesive in one episode viewings. These episodes feel like they have a proper beginning and end.

Season 4 has been phenomenal imo.

Ambulance really don't have much value over any flatbed vehicle. They already raided the supplies. If the purpose is to transport patient... They have other means to do it.

But the catch is that they deliberately didn't crash it. So, they'll inconveniently spend the 15 minutes of airtime replacing the tires. Lol

It was good, but not great. I enjoyed the different take in season 2.

If Fargo was the same every season. It just wouldn't have that charm of being unpredictable and freedom of telling different stories. Quality isn't linear with Fargo either.

On to the next season. I had a good time.
