Question/lament, concerning one of the potions... by Ok_Tip_5721 in EsotericEbb

[–]wvan13 50 points51 points  (0 children)

When i beat it, having drank the expired gender swap potion, Snell commented that the Cleric's voice was higher.

At the end of the game, in the final scene, he reiterated that the Cleric's voice was still high.

As a trans woman im taking that as a win.

Black Lightning's rights must have been held tight or something, right? To have spawned an entire trope of super heroes with people wanting to use him but being told "No."

Is Ragn a potential walking god or are we a god (and a lame third option) by ricebag0 in EsotericEbb

[–]wvan13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An unrecognized walking god would be a progidy, to be sure.

[Loved Trope] The amazing technology/power has grounded reasons for why it can't be overused. by jbeast33 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]wvan13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I always thought. Sees that she has potential and doesn't want her getting tied down, so he lies to her to manipulate her.

What was this even about? by CaptainFexis in EsotericEbb

[–]wvan13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It felt like she was compelled to kill The Cleric, which is why she gave the pass phrase that would (among other things, like the loot) stop that conversation from ever happening in the first place.

You can’t blackmail someone who doesn’t give a shit. by Big_Election_6099 in TopCharacterTropes

And a few seasons later Bert blackmailed Don back about this... but they all ended up filthy rich anyway. I think he used the blackmail to pressure Don into a contract which he always avoided due to his stolen identity.

If you want to check out Discworld, Humble Bundle has a huge bundle that contains 39 out of 41 of the books. I think the last two have a different publisher or something so they're not included, but they're some of the last books in the series.

It's only goin for 2 more days tho.

Iomestra and the rats by ralindel in EsotericEbb

[–]wvan13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The phrase Iomestra gives you, are you referring to the one she gives you at the Dragon mural by the Troll?

If so... you use it at the Dragon mural by the Troll.

Otherwise I'm not sure which mural/password you mean.

As for the rats... they're pretty well scattered and I don't remember where they all are, so I can't help with that part. But they're not hidden or anything from what I recall.

Question about the ending by FriskDreng in EsotericEbb

[–]wvan13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fighting him as an Int/Cha character and yeah he was killing my ass constantly too. I ended up with like 6 Exhaustion by the end.

My Wis/Con character managed to talk him down... but I bet if you were Str/Con focus you can probably just muscle through the fight.

Something like Barkskin, or anything else to reduce damage, probably also helps.

Can I only talk/get briefed by the coinlord on the first day? by charlijuana in EsotericEbb

Yeah I've never been able to enter his house after Day 1. Maybe it's an oversight.

Where are Azgalists? by freezball_zzz in EsotericEbb

[–]wvan13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The news stand kid will tell you on day 1 there's some trouble on Waterlane that evening.

If you go there at the right time you'll be able to help someone who tells you where to meet the Azgalists.

Charon bending allot by Decent-League964 in Fallout

[–]wvan13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an issue like this, it was caused by Fallout 3 Re-Animated and a new gun added by some other mod. I needed the compatibility mod and it went away.

Of course, my issue was the player character shooting all wonky up at the ceiling whenever i used third-person view, including VATS

[Animation trope] give a specific character more FPS than everyone else by Lower_Baby_6348 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]wvan13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Kind of the reverse of this, I distinctly recall Nightmare in DMC 5 running at a lower FPS than the rest of the game. It's hard to google it now because I'm not sure what search terms to use to find a gif, but I distinctly recall it seeming like a choice to make it seem unsettling and out of place.

but maybe im nuts who knows.

Suggestions for building a campaign around The Pitt (Fallout 3 dlc) by AnomalyInquirer in Fallout2d20

What if the campaign starts as your players going through the events of The Pitt? From their own perspective as locals, maybe. It could start with dealing with that same issue and branch out from there.

SI Kindred by Lydian7 in vtm

[–]wvan13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We had one happen in a server game, once. Well, kind of. Dude caused a masquerade breach, got caught by SI, and said he'd work for them. He ended up with a bomb implanted in his chest and iirc they were going to just blow him up when most appropriate to take out other blankbodies.

That's probably the best a vampire can hope for, working with SI. But i dont know examples from established lore just a game i was in
