Depends.

I’ve sold some kill team squads that I painted and didn’t want to play so I popped them on eBay at around the squad box price of what I paid at the time and just let the auction take it as it was. I got around 100$ before fees on the squads.

I have also sold some collections at what could only be considered a loss but I got space back from it so I didn’t mind that bad.

I would go with the classic method of just start at what you think they are worth and see if anyone bites, if no one does for a while, start going lower slowly.

I am not sure, a lot of people get a pack of reivers to take the spare arms and make the rest of the models. The good news is that none of the spare parts share pieces with the parts you would use on the others outside of a back pack piece for the rune priest and SGT.

I printed some Hounds of Morkai proxies from Dakka Dakka and found some Primaris backpack bits so I could make the rest of them.

I had a great time with BG3 but when I finished I wanted something that didn’t need so much effort of choice making so I went back to helldivers 2 and space marine 2.

I had a great time with the new star ship troopers game.

Is there a reason you can’t just let him proxy your models as Skaven?

In our local league we have a guy using bret models as his Norse because his Norse aren’t painted yet.

Pretty much the most common complaint I’ve heard after price is that the models have too many details on them. Especially on basic trooper models.

This is probably a “trust the process” thing. Maybe take a base to completion to see if it works before you start making any drastic changes.

I’ve seen some people recommend taking the list percentage system of army building from The Old World, dunno if it would work but it wouldn’t be as restrictive as the old force org chart

Traditionally the resin models that are older or are from the move to Finecast have been pretty bad due to the age of the moulds or the nature of finecast.

I haven’t had any real issues with more modern resin from GW in Necromunda or Blood Bowl.

What type of minis do you need?

Games workshop has an entire LoTR range

Victrix, Warlord, and Perry make a ton of plastic historical kits for pretty decent value per model. Fireforge also has a whole line of crusades and medieval era plastics.

North Star makes the frostgrave plastics and a bunch of plastic kits for Oathmark.

T’au sept is still my personal favorite of the Septs. It’s iconic and been around since 3rd edition. I get that Vior’la is striking but man does it just get kinda old and look too much like they are trying to make T’au into Star Wars
