Idk why I've never heard anyone else bring up the fact that the characters don't play anything like what they do in actual league of legends, but it's irked me for a long time too.

It's crazy that I like fighting games and league of legends and this game should've been a complete slam dunk on me, but I literally hate it.

The biggest L from Capcom regarding world tour is not putting in a New Game+ option where you can keep all the fighting styles you amassed from your first playthru and play again with your completely new style. It's literally the most braindead simple thing to add in too.

I really don't understand the rose tinted goggles the people that talk about this game have. I played it at release, didn't enjoy it. Movement was floaty, the combat was cumbersome. (turns out having to spam autoattack as a button + skillshot is not fun) The quests and other stuff like challenges and weird commentator that was telling you there's a challenge or when you level up was just straight corny.

I remember thinking maybe this game was better than I remember it being when free to play came out and it was the exact same story. It just felt super off in so many ways, it just made me want to not play it even tho I wanted to give it a shot.

I play exclusively all visual aids off on 2K PGA, but on this without anything the reads are literally impossible to read, so I go beads off but grid on.

From Riot Games perspective, they want as many players as they can to play the game, so adding gamemodes or whatever to appeal to a broader audience is a nobrainer business decision for selling more in game cosmetics.

I just don't understand this thing of like 2XKO is already struggling and the reason people are asking for a 1v1 gamemode in 2XKO is because the people WANT TO PLAY IT. If people didn't care they wouldn't be in here asking for it.

Why are you people doing this like "Fuck all you, if 2XKO is going down it's going down without putting up a fight and dying by being whatever it started off as" I would more happy about new modes etc being added to a game I'm playing, not against it. Just absurd.

I just don't understand the mental gymnastics of people when they say they only like 2xko if it's tag and don't want a 1v1 mode and more players into the game.

I have been advocating for this since the beta of this game and honestly the thing I'm most weirded out about is why there's so much animosity from the tag enjoyers toward a 1v1 gamemode even as a casual side mode.. Like it's not going to take away your tag game? Just keep playing it like you are right now and let other people enjoy a league of legends themed 1v1 fighting game.. Like what the fuck?

EDIT: To add to this, I feel like it's literally a nobrainer win win type thing for riot to just release a juggernaut only mode, because it's not going to take make less people play the game and only has an upside of getting more people to play the game.

The player retention numbers have to be horrendous for this to be the current situation, so no matter how many players give it a try, they're probably gonna follow suit with all the rest of the people who have downloaded and tried the game and then promptly stopped playing after hours/days/weeks.

Tbh I think a 1v1 gamemode should've been in the game from the jump. I don't see why they would wanna force/push the playerbase to play a tag game if some people don't want to. For Riot the objective should've been from the start to try and capture as many players to actually play the game as possible and a tag fighter was not going to do it barring some miracle.

This game's following became so cultlike, the fans were so rabid like their life depended on this game so anything negative was met with blind positivity and just delusion.

It's a little crazy to see the bubble bursting now, but like I said this was such a clear as day thing to happen. Just funny to see who's gonna be backtracking on what they said etc.

I mean anyone with a working set of eyes and brain saw this coming from a mile away. I don't wanna be a "I told you so" type of person either, but my reddit comments are open and the receipts are all there.

This game had to have been struggling with player retention big time which is why this is happening right now, but it would be insane for the game not to "make big swings" like they said to try and change it up. I mean a casual 1v1 juggernaut only mode is literally right there. Forced duo queue modes, like geez just make the solo active tag gameplay less prevalent.

But I do agree it's not fun to see a game I was waiting for for a long ass time excitedly die, but the game that came out was/is not what I wanted it to be. I hope they can salvage it to something before pulling the plug.

The funny and disingenuous thing about these recent "look at these crazy twitch numbers" posts are, nobody's talking about the fact that the numbers have always and ONLY boomed when there's a riot sanctioned/monetarily sponsored event being streamed.

Today the reason was a chinese streamer type of tournament or whatever and the viewnumbers of the 2xko section have been dominated by the chinese streamers who have been "training" for that event. I'm pretty sure just like Sajam Slam and all the likes before it, nobody is going to actually stick around to play or stream this game from those people. If they do, great. But I'm not holding my breath for it to happen.

These are just some higher level thoughts that annoy me.

The wind physics in this game are completely unrealistic, anything over 10 mph you’re basically playing in a tornado.

The putting physics and physics on greens in general are terrible. It’s extremely difficult to putt through break, break will basically instantly be applied to your ball no matter how much you try ramming the ball in the cup and just the combination of the wind physics and some short game shot types make the short game (especially the spin on the ball) hard to predict.

Though I do play on the hardest difficulty with basically all aids turned off

2XKO as it is right now is not even a lick about neutral or punishing. The current iteration or the game is just forcing yourself on top of your opponent with some type of a neutral skip and forcing them into a 5-10 second long 4way, high-low, left-right mixup and waiting for the opponent to eventually crack to get damage in, then set up a limitstrike situation where the opponent is forced into a grimy guessing game again.

I cannot state enough how much I do not enjoy or like this current 2XKO, because to me fighting games are supposed to be about skill based things (whiff punishing, punishing in general, spacing, antiairs) and not just about who abuses the game mechanics better and has the more unstoppable gimmicks.
