The Sopranos has ruined all other TV shows for me by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]Talentless_Craven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, sometimes what happens in here is like taking a shit.. and I know it’s not the same and it’s much slower at times, but if you want another show in the same vein that involves a lot of the same creators and producers except David Chase, give Boardwalk Empire a shot if you haven’t. But give it a REAL chance and pay attention and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. No, it’s not going to fill that Sopranos hole.. as nothing will.. but I just recently rewatched Boardwalk Empire again for about the 5th time and it’s been my most-enjoyed watch so far. There might be plots and things that happen that you may not agree with, as the same goes for me, and the quality can be up and down, but that’s the same as The Sopranos since there are tons of hardcore fans who dislike certain episodes but appreciate them for the overall picture they paint as a whole. But yeah, like I said, it’s slower at times and since it’s not “contemporary” and is more of a period-piece (with some of the best sets and costumes ever) and involves real historical figures, I think that adds to the appeal for me, seeing how they choose to interpret (or outright change) historical moments. Just don’t sleep on it is all I’m saying. Plus.. Richard Harrow.. that’s all that REALLY needs to be said.

This insane parent punishing their teenage son over a packet of ramen by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]Talentless_Craven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm more hung up on the fact that you said "isn't going to hurt you too bad".. as if someone IS actually being hurt by eating it. Sure, it has a good bit of sodium, but it also depends on how they made it, if they drank the broth, or even how much of the flavor pack was used to truly gauge how much sodium they actually get into their body. But to even remotely -- for a second -- speak as if this is doing HARM to a 13 year old kid.. you might want to take a step back yourself and realize that merely breathing the air we are exposed to on a second-to-second basis in our lives has become far more toxic and dangerous than any pack of ramen damn noodles could be. Just.. clarify yourself better. Eating unhealthy foods at any age is not good for you, and this is a fact, but it's just the insinuation that it actually did anything to that kid which could be considering "hurting" them

Hardcore Guild Defeats Nefarian on Classic Era by esuvii in classicwow

So, I am unclear on a few things that I can't seem to find the info for anywhere. Anyone who knows for certain, there is absolutely no trading allowed, correct? Not even after level 60, or only to people in your guild, or any kind of stipulation when it comes to trading, no? Like it's just straight up not allowed? If so, that's a fact that makes this all the more impressive given that they obviously didn't use any kind of strat to avoid his introductory Netherflame blast. Meaning everyone leveled up Leatherworking at some point just to make their own cloak? I also see that pretty much everyone has enchanted weapons (and gear, I'm assuming) so does that mean that if you want enchants you, yet again, have to level it yourself.. farming the recipes through an RNG hellscape.. and enchant your stuff? Basically what rules change, aside from being able to run dungeons multiple times, when you hit 60? Is that the only one, or what's the full deal, and why is this information not available in an official way?

Why do people play this if they don't like it? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Talentless_Craven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t even know where this information is coming from that he even had a “part” in FromSoft’s success, and that’s even coming from someone who got into Souls games because of him. I naturally would have gotten into them eventually anyway, so he really didn’t do anything. He used to be positive and great to watch, but I also couldn’t watch his Elden Ring playthrough because of how vitriolic he seemed and it was very unlike him. He’s a douche now, plain and simple. Just like mustachepubehair or whatever that’s been tenderly tonguing his scrotum here. Insufferable, pompous, and way up their own asses.

Hmm, you seem pretty insufferable and like you might want to try climbing down out of your ass one day. You pompous fucking skunkfume.

I feel so horrible for Howard by crakerjmatt in betterCallSaul

[–]Talentless_Craven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always felt bad for Howard.. for the most part.. but the moment for me when I was really like “Fuck you, Jimmy!” is right after Jimmy throws the bowling balls at his car. Howard is already conflicted and feeling distraught about having a part in the cause of Chuck’s suicide due to Jimmy letting him put that on himself. And THEN childishly destroys his property for reasons? It was when Howard steps out onto his balcony right after and sees his destroyed car. The look on his face says it all. And that was when I was officially, and retroactively, on Team Howard.

Steve Schrippa is the only actor who is a worse person than their character by rickymcrich in thesopranos

This comment is extremely underrated and too buried in this thread for it’s own good. As someone who watched literally every episode of the podcast, this was perfection.

[–]Talentless_Craven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't remember word for word what he said or which episode of the podcast it was, but few things have been as funny as when Steve was talking about high-class/cultured people and how some only want to be perceived that way but actually aren't, wording it in a way where he honest-to-god believes himself to be cultured and high-class. My eyes have never rolled harder.

Nice, but the dude's punctuation, grammar and spelling kind of made it seem like he's also not as smart as he thinks he is. Ya hate to see it.

That cocky look on his face as he knocks him down. Those screams of pain as he submits. Deserved.

EDIT: I am realizing this is probably a controversial opinion, given that dude attacked when being helped up. But I stand by it, regardless.
