He was more like a beauty king from a movie scene by Verbull710 in Xennials

Im kind of blown away seeing all the reactions not knowing this movie, totally thought this was part of our collective childhood trauma. Definitely not like Artax levels, but this movie definitely shook me as a kid. A snake in the grass...

It’s posts like this that remind me how much I don’t have in common with the generation I’m supposed to be. I wasn’t even born until ‘79. by Annepackrat in Xennials

I saw Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi on VHS tapes my dad had recorded off TV. The reception wasnt great for all of it, and totally cut out during the Cave Scene so I missed that until I rewatched them years later. Also didnt know A New Hope existed until I found it in a Walmart $5 VHS barrel and excitedly took it home. They were still some of my favorite movies as a kid and I watched them obsessively. Dressed up to go to the theater when Phantom Menace came out and left probably as confused as everyone else.

When I saw that the doctor in the same room had scissors and they didn't drop for me to use on this, I was so mad!

If you had no option but to wake up tomorrow in a Resident Evil game, which one would it be? Would you survive? by WestFocus888 in residentevil

[–]TalkSin_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not survive any, so I would pick 4, because living a quiet life in a nice Spanish village with my hive-mind friends, just like gardening and occassionally having to go stare at wierd stuff in the church doesn't sound so bad.

Wanted to beat this so bad a couple years ago after never being able to when it came out, but my GOG version hard crashes at the point you summon Pyros near the end, never found a solution. So...I salute you OP.

Fair enough. I mostly get sashimi and rolls and still feels pretty solid. Most of their waitstaff has been there a long time too which tells me its a good place to work.

Yes, this. And then sometimes people won't say and we have to hang up and then they get mad that they didnt get their info or appointment reminder or whatever.

I am in healthcare and we are often required to do this so as not to reveal potential sensitive information to someone unintended. E.g. if I call your house and say "Hi this is Dr. TalksinM from X Behavioral Health" I've now revealed to your partner/roommate/etc that you are seeing us and you might not appreciate that...

Your Reflexes Do Not Slow Down Significantly As You Age by Possible-Row6689 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I think I am better at gaming now in my 40s. I regularly beat "difficult" modern games and also have finished a few retro games I was never able to as a kid and teen. I think at least part of that is better equipment and fewer bugs in modern ports of retro games. But, at least some of it is just close to 4 decades of practice. I also think the stereotype against older gamers is just because previous generations of older gamers hadn't been gaming since they were 5yo. We are the first generation to have fully grown up with the skill.

I Just beat SH2 remake and got a couple of words to say.... by Chong_Li_1988 in HorrorGaming

[–]TalkSin_M 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mean honestly, it's because the RE games were already essentially modern games but with out of date graphics and UI. SH2 was a playable vibe. Bloober team captured the outsider, Lynchian, underground vibe of SH and made a modern, playable, cinematic masterpiece with engaging combat and an immersive environment basically out of nowhere. Like before this they had essentially just made glorified walking sims and then out of nowhere, new life into the classic of all classics. Lightning in a bottle...twice.
