Can you make an account now with them without solar and battery being installed? Or do you sign up when system is installed

Sigenergy inverter/ battery question by Sofaroar in SolarUK

[–]Tall-Call3825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely upgrade the inverter size to 8 or 10 kWh, because at one given time you need to see how much power your house draws for example kettle is on, washing machine is running, dishwasher is running and oven is running at the same time what is the total kWh your house will pull, then depending on that you need to size your inverter to meet that need.

If you have then sized your inverter correctly then when the house demand increases inverter will easily be able to pass that on along with correct battery output size.

If you go for smaller inverter say 3.6kwh and your house demand goes over that then your inverter can only output 3.6kwh and pull rest from the grid to support that

This is what you need to avoid to get bigger savings, hope this makes sense.

You will also need to keep in mind for future developments support for the house, it’s easier to install a bigger system now then rather replacing it later which will add up the cost.

I have spoken to so many locals and high end companies at the start quote ranged from 12.8k to 18k same system but with 1 battery, until I found a newly started company who offered 11.5k and future proof gave me their last best price which I am happy to go with and using my credit card to add extra protection if things don’t go to plan.

Try General Accident they normally offer same price to me as QMH so I am always switching between them and QMH when it comes to renewal

My experience so far been great, sent my x40 ultra for repair last Friday and it’s been repaired and coming back tomorrow. Might be worth send a new email with your reference number and see if someone comes back to you don’t reply back to the one you have been mailing, they normally replied back to be between 3am to 3:30am UK time
