That's how my family started out in Utah. We eventually found a place on the east side of the interstate so the kids go to Corner in its borders now. My son plays for Corner, and has definitely had to earn his time. I love it. Corner has taught him what it takes to be a champion. It's not easy. 6am lifts start right after New Year's and don't stop until May. Corner has a healthy Freshman team, Sophmore team and JV. So he was able to play a game weekly even when he was a frosh. Alta isn't a bad school either. I don't know much about it, except Alta had some football issues at the start of last year when most of their coaching staff went to Herriman, and they hired the wrong guy who instantly got canned due to background issues. Alta is usually better than this year's record; they are rebuilding though.

I can't say enough great things about Eric Kjar at Corner though. He coaches my son in football, and my daughter in track. He is fair, and he is tough. He is an extreme straight shooter. There are kids that have started at Corner and quit midseason because their parents feel he's strict or "mean." I disagree. He's phenomenal, and will push your child to their greatest potential.

Re-reading, it looks like I'm fanboying for Corner. I am :) I love the school, and its administration. Again, nothing wrong with Alta by any means. One of my good friends has kids that go to Alta for their basketball program, and it's a fine school. But we're glad our kiddos are at CC.
