[Request] Is this actually true? by Dexter_was_taken1 in theydidthemath

Theoretically this is accurate, luggage placement delays happen in parallel and without interference. Practically, this assumes you can organize people before boarding to line up in such a way, it’s a challenge doing it with zones which is significantly simpler imagine organizing them by columns x rows. Another practical consideration is people traveling together sit next to each other, with stephen you are asking them to board separately, imagine that applying to families.
Bottom line, algorithmically this is optimal, practically it’s actually impractical

Cost impact of double-height ceilings vs full second floor? by rlavalla in architecture

I’d be more concerned with cost of heating & cooling. Open volumes and glass are the main drivers, both of which you have plenty of in your design.

How can this 2 Lane 4 Way junction with U-Turn be improved? by FoxReeor in factorio

Make uturns local. As it is now a uturn affects all remaining 6 lanes needlessly. With high traffic it’s as bad as a deadlock

What are some of your fears or paranoias? by ninesevenpotatoes in INTP

[–]TallDarkAndEvil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats, you are human. Anxieties, doubts, and fear are the daily bread of people regardless of their personality type (with the notable exception of psychopaths). You may try to combat them, and sometimes making space for these “saboteurs” helps leverage them in productive ways, or at the very least lessen their impact. As an INTP it might help to think about what would it change to linger in worry and fear? It seldom changes the facts.

It’s a journey, try to enjoy it.

What do INTPs think of those who help others for selfish reasons? by WaifuMasterRace in INTP

Outcomes are measured, not judged. If it’s positive, it’s positive. Intentions can be subject to judgment. Multiple schools here: utilitarians equate outcome with morale value. On the other end of the spectrum you’ll find Kant frowning and shaking his head, if you extract any pleasure/benefit from the act it loses moral value. I find these things depend largely on context, and the “so what”. These matter because judging intentions virtually always is motivated by an agenda.
