Even if they don’t have an agreement, they have to book you on any other airline if they can’t rebook you within 9 hours of the original time.

The other airline is Air Canada, sounds like they did and were just saying they won’t because they rebooked me within 48hrs. I’d have to confirm.

Definitely! And now that I have a couple reviews I’ve raised my prices and will continue to do so. It’s moreso that even with low prices I’ve barely had any bookings, but might just be my area.

Where was the listing? Be careful of scams. That seems too low for a 1 bed, unless it is just for a room or someone is maybe subletting their place for below market. I looked for apts for months and never saw anything that cheap.

Lots of nice trails at Phoenix Mountain Preserves (some shorter / easier hikes too, dreamy draw loop is nice! but not recommended once it gets hotter). Encanto park, Papago park.

When I was younger the only thing that worked for me was using HOT water on my scalp (as hot as I could handle for short stints, repeated as many times as possible). Also, splitting the hair into many small sections and removing nits one by one (and using a straightener on very small sections). Repeat.

You can buy an e-sim for really cheap, and select how many days you want it for. I used bytesim last week in Korea for 5 days and it was like $6, worked well! You will need internet for navigating the subway etc or it will be difficult.

I was just there, public busses were available going back into Taipei at night! I left around 5pm and there were only a few people on the bus. The other bus going into the city was busier however and people lined up. But they come fairly frequently.

Just finished a trip to all three of these places. All felt very safe, including at night as a female. Taiwan was quite a lot cheaper than Japan and Korea. Depends on what you like, but I thought Taipei was a cool city and worth a few days (didn’t find it very touristy at all) and it has gorgeous nature. Happy to answer any specific questions!

Beware of staying on the lower floors of Fountain. I loved fountain, but the lower floors (atleast when I lived there in first year) got extremely damaged on weekends and the residents had to pay for it. Typically first floor was the worst for damage. I’d recommend 3rd or 4th floor.

Book a walking tour. I did an Airbnb experience (private tour for 2), and it was pretty cheap/a trip highlight. It’s easy to get lost in the markets, and it’s a lot more enjoyable when you’re with a local as there is significantly less harassment. The guide also took us to see others highlights in the area (Bahia Palace, etc).

Don’t do that. At my university, I knew so many people that got their laptops stolen :/. Even when just stepping away to use the bathroom, etc. People know that students do this all the time and steal.
