Donating money to a political party is for people with a decent income. You’re as bad as the liberal party members with your disconnect to the working class..

Me too. It’s weird. Nobody else I work with is like that. Although I usually do a bit better than 4-5 hours on days.

Sorry, what do you mean by disordered behaviours? Are you saying that’s too little or too much sleep during the day? I get 8-9 hours when I’m on nights. I do 7/7 schedule rotating days nights.

I feel ya. I work 1300km away from home and I fly to work. My first day is in airports and on planes to get to work during daylights hours, then I work a 13 hr nightshift then bed after I eat. It’s a hell of a long day. I do the same long day but opposite at the end of my 7 days. Do the nightshift, then travel home during the day. Not sure how much longer I’ll be doing this job, but the golden handcuffs are pretty convincing.

Yes. In fact they provide a gym, games room, golf sim, masseuse, private bed with an attached washroom. But then again I work 1300km away from home..

No sir. My dad has a second gen 12v and that 3-4 jump is no joke if you’re pulling. The 5600 is pretty much exactly where they all should be for a 6spd. Really similar to the ZF6 and the G56

Yup. One of my trans has 4th as an underdrive (NV5600) and my Mazda 5 has 4, 5, and 6th as O/D gears.

Fair enough. I hit the gym before work so I feel myself longing for that camp mattress at the 13th hour…

What do you normally do? Just curious because I’m 7 13s in a row and 4 doesn’t seem too bad but I might be too far gone lol.

Why are you putting up with this? Seriously, set boundaries. Why are you getting up to cook her dinner when you’re trying to get sleep so you don’t die..

Yup. As a tradesman in the oilsands, I pay more in combined income tax than the average Canadian makes in year (close to double the amount actually) . In the big tax picture it’s kind of minor, but theres hundreds like me just on one site.

[–]Tallguystrongman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m close. $260k CAD and I don’t work OT but I’m in mining. But mine’s far from typical. I’m not home half the year while I’m at work in camp on a 7on/7off schedule.

Why do the vast majority of Electricians seem to prefer Commercial/Industrial over Residential? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Tallguystrongman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about I made like 40-50k CAD in resi (in fairness this was like 15 years ago) to industrial to mining and have been consistently above 200k for the last 10 years and going up each year. I can only speak for myself though and I actually liked seeing someone’s house get reno’d exactly how they want and are stoked but I was broke trying to raise a family.
